I didn't pick this hotel, my Japanese friend did and for some good reasons, it was really near to the place where I had meetings. The problem with The B Akasaka is that the room has more than half of its space for the bathroom, leaving the bed area really small. There's also no closet, just a few hangers on the wall for your clothes. The passageway is so narrow in the Single room that if I were to lay my luggage flat on the floor, it will take up the entire width. I stayed for 4 nights and had to skip in and out of the bathroom whenever I laid the luggage somewhat flat on the floor. There was no drawer either, just three curved open shelves at the desk and they are shallow ones... The Chisun Grand Akasaka nearby has a much better design of the room (see my other review) - there are so many drawers for storage.
Now the bed - it was really hard, I like firm beds but this one was stone hard. My friend told me that others had made the same comment. Consequently, I didn't sleep well, twisting and turning every night. The hotel is located on a small street but residents start their day early and you can hear cars, gate opening, etc at 4-5 a.m.
As for the staff, they are very courteous and always ready to help. I asked to take a look at the double room and the staff obliged. He told me that it was as cramped and advised me not to pay extra for the double room and he was right! Everything is the same as the single room except for a bigger bed (which I guess is as hard).
It's also quite a long walk to the nearest Lawson (like 7-11), about 10 mins down the slope.
The biggest issue with the B Akasaka is its location - it's on a slope and if you walk from the station, you have to pass through the Blitz dinning area and walk up 3-4 flights of steep stairs; if you travel with big luggage, it can be quite difficult.
The hotel also serves the same breakfast everyday, and by that, I mean exactly the same with no exception. I stayed for 4 nights, can you imagine? :-(
There is a very nice sushi shop (2nd fl) right next to the hotel. The old shop owner there churned out really nice sushi set which cost only 1,000 yen for lunch. It was really fresh and delicious, give it a try if you stay at the hotel next time?

Dear VictoriaSommers
Thank you for your comment after your recent stay – the sushi shop you visited is one of our favorites too.
As you point out we are at the top of one of the hills in the area and it can be a little extra walk to the hotel, however many of our guests appreciate that’s it a little quieter than some of our competition in the entertainment area of Akasaka.
I will share your comments with our team; they really appreciate such positive comments on their service.
Kind regards.
