“Great location, beautiful hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I stayed at the ANA Intercontinental in Tokyo for ten nights and have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. It's close to a number of good restaurants, close to the Ginza subway line, their staff is very professional and friendly and the restaurants in the hotel were excellent. We were in a junior suite so I can't speak to the size of the regular rooms, but our room was lovely, quiet and spacious. The breakfast buffet was very good, although I would have liked to have more fresh fruit available. I would have given this hotel a higher rating, however, the gym facilities left much to be desired. At the moment the hotel is remodelling their regular gym and the alternative facility is a poor option. I found that the concierge was always helpful with suggestions and responding to questions. I would stay here again.

“Good location and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

The hotel is very accessible: subway station is right outside, there is a taxi stand and the limousine bus going to and from the airport actually makes a drop to the hotel. It is about a 15 minute walk away from Ropponggi where you can find tons of restaurants. Had a bit of a problem with the bed = twas a ittle too hard for my back though.

“Central location, beautiful club and nice service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

The ANA Intercontinental is centrally located and provides convenient direct access to some of Tokyo's major attractions like Shibuya or Asakusa via the Ginza subway line from Tameike-sanno station (use exit 13 located literally a few steps from the hotel).

The property is beautifully appointed and the room was nicely furnished. I stayed at the Japanese suite which was spacious and the bathroom had the toilet and shower/bath in their own separate room. The Club lounge was relatively large with plenty of seating throughout. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choices. However, the evening cocktail hour offered only a handful of small tidbits that needed to be replenished constantly as these were quickly devoured as soon as they were set. In the afternoon at certain times the club provides tea service with cookies, French macarons and canneles. The views of downtown Tokyo were impressive and there were plenty of windows to soak up the view. In addition, I saw two computer stations in the main seating area behind reception for patron's usage.

The concierge desk was well staffed and very helpful. Service was very polite and proactive from all members of the staff. Overall this is a solid choice if one is looking for a deluxe property with a great location.

“Great service and location”

Decent hotel, well located with exceptional level of services from the concierge. I was accompanying my husband on a business trip and we decided to catch a concert by Florence and the Machines. The concierge arranged tickets, booked restaurants and provide us with detailed instructions on how to get from one place to another with minimum fuss (which is a challenge in Tokyo when your Japanese is limited). Meant that our trip was hassle free and we manage to explore the city in a short space of time. Rooms are small which is usual for Tokyo hotels, but manageable. Bar was nice and breakfast was expansive. As with most things in Tokyo food, drink and accommodation were expensive. Based on the level of service alone I would choose to stay in this hotel again.

“Good location, average hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Good location near subway and the shops and restaurants of Akasaka and Roppongi. Narita Express bus stops here first when arriving in the city which saves a little travel time. Hotel is large but a bit dated, restaurants are very expensive, best to have simple things like coffee and breakfast at places outside. Nice bar on upper floor with nice atmosphere and views in the evening. Rooms nice but bathrooms very small. Service not as good as other hotels I have stayed at in Tokyo.
