“Superb Hotel and view.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

We checked in at the Intercontinental Hotel Tokyo Bay, right from check in, it was a wonderful
experience, the staff were very polite, always willing to help, they had transport available from
early morning until late at night, to and from the subway station, but the only major problem
was the internet, thier charges were exceptionally high, whereas the Ana crowne plaza in Osaka had free wifi, really super fast. We did not eat in any of the restaurants,as we use to leave early, and come back late on the last Bus, they did have free internet access at the
business centre, they had two desktops there which were really outdated and one of the two was out of service. All in all it was a good stay, and we took the bus service forr 3000 yen straight to the airport.

Room Tip: Take a room facing the Tokyo Bay.

“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

This hotel is located very close to 3 train stations making access to the whole of tokyo very easy. The quality of the rooms is exceptional as you would expect with a 5* japanese hotel.
The breakfast is quite good although very expensive for what it is.
WiFi and Internet is charged which is quite unbelievable for today.
There are many services supplied, you can get the bus direct to the airport from the hotel for 3000 yen.
Overall a nice stay but quite expensive.

“Standards Slipping”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

This was my second stay at the Intercontinental Tokyo Bay, and although the hotel is still a good standard I do feel that overall the hotel standards are slipping.
My greatest concern would be the quality of the service in the restaurants. I feel both the service and quality of the food was not good enough either for Lunch (which I tried once and walked out) and Dinner which again was poor compared to other Intercontinental's I have used.
The rooms are beginning to look tired also, though impeccably clean as you would expect. The gym was constantly closed for "private sessions" though looking through the window it looked a good standard wish I could have got to use it.
For the cost of this hotel, which is not cheap by any standards I was left feeling disappointed, the first time ever in a Intercontinental Hotel.

“Excellent hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

I have just stayed here for 4 nights whilst on a business trip. My room had twin beds and was good size. There was also 2 sitting chairs and a work desk. Bathroom had seperate walk in shower and bath, and was very clean and well presented. It was probably the quietest hotel I have ever stopped in.
Good location, with a 10 minute walk to the monorail station, and Takeshiba station a stones throw away.
The only negative is the cost of drinks in the bar and restuarants - OUCH! You can however stock your mini-bar from the convenience stores that are on every street corner in Tokyo. The Narita Limosine bus stops at the hotel and costs 3000 yen. Haneda is 20 minutes via monorail.

Room Tip: Ask for a bay view room so you can watch the world go by.

“Beautiful hotel, good location with excellent views over the rainbow bridge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

I booked the hotel in Dec 2010 after our trip to Tokyo Disneyland. The hotel is conveniently located near the subway station (around 1 min walk) on the Yurikamome line. The Yurikamome line is very convenient to the futuristic Odaiba, and a very pleasent way to spend a day visiting Odaiba. The hotel is also very near (5 to 8 min walk) to the JR Hamamatsucho station.

Checkin was very quick and a IC Ambassador got me an upgrade to a room facing the rainbow bridge with sweeping views of Tokyo Bay. The room itself, like all Japan rooms were very clean, very nice bathroom but unlike most Japanese rooms were quite sizable and comfortable.

The area around the hotel has a 24 convenience store, some food joints along the road to the Hamamatsucho station. Altogether a very nice hotel made conveninent by the Hamamatsucho station closeby and certainly less expensive vs the rest of the ICs in the Tokyo area.
