As far as business style hotels are concerned, we spent a lot of time on this trip staying in Toyoko Inn's, so we were used to the small rooms. The Gracery at Ginza is a step above all of the Toyoko Inns that we stayed at, for not too much more money.
Service at the front desk was excellent. The front desk staff spoke perfect English. We were early to arrive, so we left our bags and went to have lunch, and the bags were taken up to our room while we were out. The room was immaculately cleaned and made up. As others have mentioned, the room was quite small, but this is exactly what we were expecting, especially considering the price we paid.
We had breakfast at the hotel on one of the mornings we stayed there, and while it wasn't the cheapest breakfast, it was very good. Very hot and fresh with an excellent variety of both western and japanese breakfast dishes.
The Gracery Ginza has 2 things going for it. Price and Location. Ginza is the most expensive real estate on earth. With this in mind, the Gracery offered a very reasonably priced room considering the location that it is in. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Tsukiji fish markets, the Imperial Palace grounds and is merely metres away from the heart of the Ginza shopping district, in all of its needless extravagance.
Aside from the palace and Tsukiji markets, Ginza and surrounds didn't impress me much. If ever I wanted to return to the area, I'd definitely stay at the Gracery Ginza again.
