It was my first time visiting Tokyo wt my friends. I was impressed by their friendly staff & also very helpful even though we have small communication problem. Unfortunately, b'coz of ill-information, I didn't know most Japanese electrical appliance using socket are identical to NEMA 1–15, does anyone ever think of that? I have a hard time charging my hp & camera & using my laptop. Though some hotel provided varieties of adapter but it's limited to few pieces only. Don't forget bring ur own & try to google on website to find out more.
We have to move out for the 3rd day & I was sad to check out from this hotel because I love it. But then, they recommend us in one of their hotel Chain in Asakusa. Totally love it!
Overall, I love staying here in Toyoko Inn & would suggest it for budget traveler, made my reservation on Japanican.com. Try it & you won't regret! Enjoy your stay at Toyoko Inn.

We thought we would never find a good place to stay in Tokyo at a reasonable price, so we gambled on the Toyoko Inn chain. The Hamacho location turned out to be good - just less than 2 blocks from the Hamacho subway stop in a residential neighborhood, we found it to be better than we hoped. The Toyoko Inn rooms are small, but nicely decorated, with nice, but incredibly small bathrooms. The price was very reasonable for Tokyo and these hotels seem to be favorites for Japanese business travelers, male and female. The hotels are not designed with Western tourists in mind, so the staff may or may not speak English well, and the breakfasts may be Japanese or may be Western. This hotel offers an English map of the neighborhood with moderately priced restaurants marked - we found them to be okay, altho we did come across the local outpost of an Indian chain that we thought was very good. I wouldn't recommend this place for families with children - the rooms really have very little extra space - and I wouldn't recommend these places for very tall or very large people - they will feel claustrophobic. This hotel does have free internet service in the lobby, and a small laundry room off to the side of the lobby.
