“convenient location, modern and clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

hotel is located RIGHT above the subway station - which made a big difference. Tokyo stations are different than NYC stations - there is a lot more walking involved. So it really helped to be able to just get out and go into the hotel. it's Tokyo - don't expect king size bed with space to stretch out - room was small but enough. and it came with a massage chair which was used every morning!
overall - very clean modern hotel in a convenient location in Tokyo.

“Tiny rooms, awesome location, nice price”

REMM Akihabara made itself one of my favorite hotels in Tokyo very quickly. It is located directly above the Akihabara tain station, and across the street from Yodobashi Camera's massive Akiba (a.k.a. Akihabara) branch. When I checked in, I was greeted by a front desk staff that speaks excellent english. Overall, the hotel staff met the usual Japanese standard of top-notch service. If you have a lot of luggage, though, this may not be the hotel for you. The rooms are tiny but very well designed. Through clever use of glass and sleek design they make a small room seem much larger than it actually is. The highlight of the room is either the massage chair (seriously, it rocks...or at least it rocked my world.... :) ) or the glass shower that allows you to watch TV whilst you take your morning constitutional. The Akihabara Tolim development in the same building houses a Uniqlo clothing store as well as many dining and drinking options, and the neighborhood overall is very friendly.

If your Japanese is limited (or non-existent) there are a good selection of restaurant in the area that can accommodate you, so Akihabara can be a good choice for the Japan novice.

When you get to the JR Akihabara station, take the Showa Dori exit. When you go through the gates, turn right, and the entrance to the hotel will be on the right, just past the Starbucks.

“Pint-sized value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

Be warned-- the rooms really are TINY. But I'd certainly stay here again. The room is very well appointed-- rain shower, hi- tech loo, massage chair... Very modern decor. Great location steps from the metro. Lots of breakfast options close by. Very clean. Excellent service. We had a problem with the hot water and the manger was there with a plumber within minutes, despite the pre-dawn hour. If you just need a place to sleep and don't want to spend a bundle, the Remm Akihabara fits the bill perfectly.

“Great Hotel !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

My second visit to this great hotel.. Located just a short walk from Akihabara station and Electric City..
Rooms are small but are clean.
Lacks a good breakfast spot, but Starbucks is in the same building if a coffee will do...

“Excellent location, small room but has everything you'd need”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

We stayed at Remm Akihabara in November 2011 for 5 nights. It is conveniently located next to the subway station in Akihabara. Rooms are small (presume standard for Tokyo) and clean. Front desk staff is courteous and communicates well in English. Lovely hotel. Would stay again!
