“Great hotel; not a budget location, but good value.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2010

Probably more than I am used to spending on hotels, but when split with another traveler, it was worth it to find something that was in a central location and was a great hotel. Rooms are about as big as a walk in closet in a McMansion in any US suburb, but every square inch is put to good use. (The toilet had a remote control...). Staff was awesome; location could have been closer to some sites, but it was equi-distant enough that we weren't having to spend hours getting anywhere.
Be sure to reserve a non-smoking room; we did a walk-up reservation and had a smoking room for the 1st night - kinda like waking up in your neighborhood pub...

“Cute, small hotel with helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2009

Like most Tokyo hotels, especially when you're staying alone, the rooms were bee-sized. But everything was impeccably clean, the service staff were helpful and flexible, and the price was unbeatable for the location. The cafe on the second floor helped too. I'm very happy that I stayed here.

“Small, Hip, Reasonable... Perfect”

My partner and I traveling with two other friends all stayed at the Remm Hibiya, in Tokyo. The location is amazing. Location is awesome: just a few blocks from the Ginza strip (imagine NYC 5th Ave on steroids), a block from the Ginza restaurant strip that runs along the train tracks (where you'll find every imaginable kind of food), right off the Imperial Palace grounds, and otherwise very central to everything.

The rooms were very clean, modern, space efficient and comfortable. The two of us shared a standard room, with just one double sized bed. It was tight maneuvering around, but this is Tokyo... you shouldn't spend much time in your room anyway. The bathroom features one of those automatic shower toilets... sorta like a bidet, but more like a carwash – a real treat for us dirty Americans. The shower had a huge rain head and wand attachment, which was situated right in front of a massive picture window ... the views from the shower were amazing! LOL. We also enjoyed free ethernet internet access, but no WiFi (tip: wifi was super rare in Tokyo... head over to the Apple Store on the Ginza strip to sync up)

The lobby was very clean, modern and minimal. The lobby also had a wonderful cafe, which was perfect for grabbing a quick breakfast/coffee before heading out.

I would strongly recommend this hotel. For the price, it is hard to beat.

“Excellent Pod Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2009

Location:
- Great! Many attractions and the JRS in close walking distance

Services:
- Front Desk was very friendly, fast and professional
- House Keeping - When encounter HK they were very courteous. Rooms were spotless clean

Restaurants:
- There is a coffee shop next to the Front Desk, which seemed to be outsourced. Food looked ok but not extraordinary. However it was always packed with a lot of outside-guests

Guest Room & Bath Room:
- Room is tiny but the lack of space gives the room its special charm
- No luggage rack or similar and no wardrobe at all
- Bed is put next to the wall of the bathroom which did not bother at all
- Many cool amenities are provided which is not a matter of course:
+ 32 LCD TV (no international channels)
+ Massage Chair (an absolute highlight!)
+ Free Internet (LAN)
+ Make-up mirror
+ LED Lights
+ Safe with power plug (to charge you mobile or notebook while out of the room)
+ Mini bar device with complementary water
+ Full automatic toilet (heating your butt and has some cleaning functions, too)
+ Full Bathroom Amenities including toothbrush, razor, quality shampoo, conditioner, etc.
+ Rain Shower

Other Facilities:
- No Pool
- No Spa
- No Gym
- (but it's also not expected in a pure business hotel)

Price:
- Booked through Internet and had very decent rates at around JPY 13'000
- Rates vary day by day

Conclusion:
I stayed at the Remm Hibiya and the Remm Akihabara (see my other Review). They are both very similar (though the one in Akihabara is a bit newer). I think the product is just fantastic for its price. Nice, friendly design and cool gadgets in combination with absolute professional hotel associates makes your small place a real retreat from a busy (but fantastic) city.

“Great location but very small room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2009

This hotel is very nice and new business hotel in Ginza.
Location is very good, very close to JR station (Yamanote line) and also close to Tokyo metro stations.

What I liked about the hotel.
- Location, very convenient place to be specially if you love Ginza
- Room, clean and trendy
- Free internet
- Great service from all the staffs
- Their Shower, water drops from ceiling
- their massage chair in the room
- Price, I won't say it's cheap but compare to other hotels near the area, it's little cheaper.

Only thing I didn't like about the hotel is that room is very small. Watch your knees when move around in the room and for me their bed wasn't very comfortable (just personal preference I guess).

Overall, I like the hotel because of its location and if you don't mind the small room, I would say this is a great hotel to stay for few days in Ginza.
