“Excellent location, small room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Superb location, right next to Ginza & the Imperial hotel. The room is Tokyo sized - very small. Comfortable enough for a solo traveller so a little tight for a couple. The massage chair was great even though it does occupy a lot of space in what is already a tightly packed room. Overall the room was clean and nicely maintained. Definitely a good budget option for a short stay.

“A great place close to Tokyo station”

I stayed here last year and it was a very nice hotel. The location was super- near muji and bic camera and Hibiya park . The Muji cafe in the lobby is a huge plus. My only slight complaint was the rooms are small- no big deal .. they are very modern, almost scandinavian design - but they have this lounge chair in every room that takes up just a wee too much space .. i know it sounds silly and it is a feature of the room .. but anyways just not enough floor space . single rooms don't have baths but i believe our double room did! enjoy!

“Tiny room, good for short stays and not much luggage”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

Location is good but too small. Instead of the large massage chair in the room, space is more important

“Great Location, clean and loved the massage chair”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

As with most hotels in Tokyo the room size is compact but perfectly functional.. I just had to be somewhat tidier than normal! What struck me as odd entering my room was why waste space with the addition of a big "sun lounger" however i then realised the chair came with a remote control and was indeed a very welcome massage chair!

The hotel is simply furnished, chic, clean. Staff very helpful and friendly and has a cafe popular with the general public at the lobby check in level. Not that you'd need to eat here as the hotel is right in the middle of more restaurants than you could ever possibly want ranging from superb Japanese of course to Portuguese and everything in between.

I found this hotel to be a little gem and very cost effective!

“Overpriced 'business hotel'”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

I would recommend this hotel to the first time visitors to Tokyo - prime location in Hibiya, convenient access to subways, clean rooms (as are most of hotels in Japan.) For me, this is NOT a 'boutique' hotel but an overpriced fancy 'business' hotel ran by a big hotel chain based in Kansai (Hankyu Hanshin Daiichi Hotel). Yes, the decor may be modern and posh but if you look closely it has no character. For 13000 yen for a single room with no breakfast, this is no value. Having a 'porn channels' guide on the bedside was a big turn-off (although it is common at business hotels in Japan.) There is Muji-Cafe at the reception level which is a plus but there is no computer with the internet access. I would recommend Toyoko-inn Tameike Sanno or Keio Presso Inn Otemachi - within a few subway stops away you get the same if not better service for a half price (6800 yen with free breakfast).
