My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Mas Bellonte. What a wonderful find! As we arrived on a Sunday, when most of the shops are closed, Lynn kindly left us a lovely homemade quiche; new potatoes all ready to cook with fresh mint; gorgeous raspberries from the garden; a loaf of lovely bread; a bottle of red wine and green beans! What a feast! The food was just delicious. The apartment itself is spotless with a huge private terrace with sun loungers and a table and chairs - views of the mountains really do take your breath away. The accommodation is perfectly situated - we walked to Vernet-le-bains where there are numerous restaurants and lovely places to sit and have coffee. We drove to the coast one day and up to the fabulous lakes another. There is so much to do in this wonderful area. During the week Malcolm kindly offered us more fresh produce from the garden - such wonderful hospitality. If you are looking to stay in this beautiful area of France - stay at Mas Bellonte. Just returned from a fantastic few days staying at Mas Bellonte. Malcolm & Lynn are the perfect hosts and have a great knowledge of the area in terms of where to visit & what to do. The maison and its secluded grounds provide a wonderful retreat to return to after visiting the many local attractions on days out. The location is very idyllic with great views in all directions - especially from the loo! The terrace provides a great setting for le petit dejeuner in the morning or to relax with a glass of wine in the evening and star gaze across the Mountains. Mas Bellonte had all the basic facilities we could wish for to make our stay a real pleasure. The home-made apple juice is the best I have tasted and a real bargain compared to the shops! We stayed in Mas Bellonte in mid August 2011 and had a great holiday. The gite is vey well equipped, in a superb location and the hosts were brilliant. The welcome meal was lovely with home-made food and produce from the garden. The latter was topped up during the week. Malcolm and Lynn were very friendly but didn't impose. They even took us to a concert one evening and we spent a very pleasant evening with them on the last day. A wonderful relaxing place in an area with lots to do and see.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mas Bellonte. Lynn and Malcolm were extremely welcoming. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Mas Bellonte provided a beautiful and peaceful base for exploring the surrounding area. We really want to come back.
