Have been using this small bed and breakfast since last 10 years and from the time it opened. Value for money, you can't get a better place to stay in Colva. Walkable from the beach, yet hidden from the main road and traffic.Staff friendly. Perfect location to grab food nearby.Lot of options available nearby. Room Maintenance has dropped lately..am told a coat of paint is happening before the carnival. Best to avoid the food at the hotel restuarant. Colva is the cleanest and longest beach in Goa. Less crowd and safe.

Hotel Sea Coin is situated just a hop and a skip from the famous Colva beach. The staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and airy. That was the bright side. Can't say the same about the restaurant they run - very poor service plus the food is not worth talking about, even though they have a live band in the evenings - perhaps to attract a few customers. Apart from the food it is a nice and homely place to stay. Autorickshaws, buses and hire-by-the-day bikes are available just outside the hotel.
For some genuine Goan food I would recommend eating at "Rafaels" which is just outside Sea Coin entrance gate.

Colva Beach has a great location. It is relatively unspoilt because most tourists come there for an hour or two enroute to other sight seeing places as part of a circuit. However if one stays at Colva, s/he realises a true Goanese spirit. The beaches are practically unoccupied on weekday mornings. Location of this hotel gives you the impression of having a beach in your backyard.

Sea Coin is not a star-rated hotel. It lacks the impressive entrances and archways that may be the norm elsewhere but if Goa and the Sea are what one wants to experience then you get them in full measure.

Closeby is a flea market where some great bargains may be obtained. For instance, I picked up a saxophone for about Rs. 800. If one wants "Goa Unhurried" then perhaps Colva is the place and Hotel Sea Coin the accommodation.

Hotel's room service is quite basic but interesting theme restaurants dot the neighborhood.
