This hotel is truly a gem - for anybody who is looking for completely something else at Gran Canaria. We stayed for 7 nights and loved it. You definitely do need a car and the roads are very narrow - but you'll make it :-) This is a good base for hiking trips! E.g. Tamadaba is near; just note that it is a heavy climb up - you will need proper hiking shoes and lots of drinking water.
Be prepared to wake up with the roosters & dogs (at least in room no. 2) - the noise is the only downside I can come up with when thinking about this hotel. The dinner is homely although rather simple; try it at least once! Breakfast is good, I recommend to take the tray and bring it to the garden...
All in all this is a great place for those who love peace & quiet and appreciate a truly unique atmosphere! Highly recommended!
