The hotel was very clean and comfortable the only problem we had was having to go to the bar next door for breakfast and the room allocated to the hotel only had two tables in it both occupied at the time so we had to sit in a noisy bar.
One or two nights stay is all we would want at this hotel.

We stayed here for 1 night last July to be near the airport having spent a lovely 2 weeks on a mobile home site.
It was a Sunday and everywhere was closed except for one cafe. The hotel had no food available. It was like a ghost town!
The room we were given was in the attic and not at all nice. It had a portable tv, broken fridge and bad shower. We did not sleep that night as we had a patio window out onto a rooftop and did not feel safe.
Our flight as early the next morning and the cafe where they serve breakfast was not open. We could not wait to get out of the place.

Had a great stay in Bezana Lago hotel. Accomodation is very clean and staff were very friendly.
The location may not suit everyone - its about 8km from Santander centre and situated in a nice residential area. The hotel is right beside the Feve rail link and access to Santander and other local towns is fast and very cheap (return ticket is 2 Euro 70 cents)
Be warned though - few local people have much English so make sure you carry an English Spanish phrasebook. But we found the people to be very friendly and patient with us!

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms were very clean and attended each day. There is a cafe bar attached to the hotel which offers simple breakfast and hot snack food and drinks at very reasonable prices - A glass of local wine was about 70 cents (yes 70 cents) and coffee about 1 Euro.

Cab fare to the airport was 17 Euro and to Santander 11Euro. Hotel was booked via bookit365.com and the room cost about 124 Euros for 3 nights.

All in all if you are looking for cheap clean accomodation without extras and don't mind using the excellent train service you'll find this hotel great. We loved it! We felt like Spanish locals for the weekend!
