“good new year break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

stayed at the eurostars for 4 nights over new year, very good quality rooms and bathrooms, although a/c a bit hit and miss with temperatue control. Staff are typical city centre staff and not that friendly or knowledgeable, in fact even the tourist office in centre of city is useless. hotel is well located and easy walk to most places in this pleasant small city. Well worth a short visit .

Room Tip: ask for high floor for good views

“Location and value make this place a winner”

Stayed here at beginning and end or recent trip to Spain/Morocco. Chose it because of its high ratings and location (and daughter was finishing her semester abroad and living with a family across the street.) and and was not disappointed. Bus to/from airport stops across the street, taxi stand is next door, short walk to barrio for night life, la rambla, beach, shopping, pier and Explanada as well as Santa Barbara Castle (just a 5 minute walk to steps- amazing view from top!). Room standard yet comfortable- had safe, Wi-fi; front desk staff efficient and spoke English.Computer to use in lobby and staff let me print up boarding passes for flight home. Had room on 8th floor facing side street both times- was quiet when window shut and had view of castle and sea. Need to develop spa (cold), sauna (out of order) and gym area on 11th floor. There is a large terrace on that floor also, supposedly not for guests but door was open so I ventured out- great views of city and sunset/sunrise. Did not eat at restaurant but found inexpensive cafe for breakfast just around the corner. Would stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor and not facing the front- will be more quiet.

“Perfect Location great value!”

Just back from a weekend in Alicante, staying at this hotel. We arrived at 11-30 Friday and as we had notified them of our early flight our room was ready. They upgraded us to an executive room FOC. Considering this was a "secret hotel" on last minute we only paid £95 for two nights.

Spotless, great location handy for shops markets and a short walk to the marina and beach.

I am trying to find something to complain about and the only very minor thing was they had not upgraded to HD flat screen TV’s!!!! We had not gone to watch the TV so no worries!

I have stayed in 3 or 4-4* hotels in Alicante and this is as good as any of them and would recommend.

Room Tip: We had 407, ask for that as it is a larger room. Typical of a city hotel the standard rooms are a bi...

“Ideal location for visit to Alicante”

Perfect location, with bus to/from airport stopping right outside. Rooms of very good standard. Staff at reception helpful.
WiFi in room is very poor, good reception in lobby. Within walking distance of all attractions, including beach, Old Town and shopping.

“More like a two star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

My husband and I stayed here in earlyOctober 2011. Both Hotel and room wer extremely impersonal, no ambience whatsoever. The staff was okay, and the location was quite good. Overall very basic, more like a two star than a four. Would recommend it as a two star, not a four.
