You normally can't go wrong with an AC hotel in Spain. Once you've stayed in one, you know what you're going to get. Whilst the level of standardisation might put people off, there are many times when it's quite comforting, especially given the extremely variable levels of facilities and service in non-chain hotels. The rooms are very stylish, the staff are friendly, and the breakfasts are excellent. There's an underground car park that costs about 10 euros for the day I think. You could leave your car in the street, since there's plenty of room, but I chose not to take the risk. The hotel is situated a little west of most of the action, but it's only a walk to most places. The new bus station is conveniently located close-by.

The rooms were nice!

I stayed in this hotel for a 2 nights to attend a conference being held in the same hotel. The conference facilities were modern, bright and all the necessary facilities were provided (water, pens, paper, jelly beans etc. The meeting rooms are located on the first floor and are easy to find. The accommodation is modern in style, with dark wood, matt metals and immaculately clean! The minibar with free softdrinks, water, juice, and (one) bar was very welcome - particularly as the hotel is located a little way out of town and I didn't really notice any shops nearby. Saying that, it really is only a 10 minute walk into town. The only two negative things I should mention are 1) the road noise, but obviously this varies depending on which side of the hotel your room is - probably adviseable to keep your window closed though! 2) The door to the bathroom is a fancy glass swing door and not really sealed so could also be a little 'noisy' - alright if your room-mate is a good friend, but a little embarrassing if not! Breakfast is very good - nespresso coffee machine, juices, a selection of good cold meats, cheese, fruit, cereals, breads, toaster, spanish omelette, pastries......... whether it's for business or pleasure this hotel is a pretty safe bet.

overall an excellent hotel, decent location, a short walk to Marina, a bit further to the beach. Pool on roof really nice.
