Leuka has a friendly and helpful staff. The young man who was the front desk attendant was kind and gracious- spoke perfect English but allowed us to converse in Spanish. Hotel is in a good location. Beach is about a 25 minute walk, but an interesting and enjoyable one. Rooms are old, but clean. Don't use the provided hairdryer or you may blow a fuse (as I did) and find yourself in the dark. Locks on the doors need updating, but hotel seems very safe. Parking is available under hotel, but you must inform the front desk every time you need to exit and enter garage so he can open and shut the door. This can be inconvenient when there is a cluster of people demanding the staff's attention in the lobby . Air conditioning system is a bit inefficient, but rooms are still comfortable. It appeared that this hotel hosts many large sports teams and bus groups. It is not a luxurious place, but it is safe, clean and convenient. Walk to El Corte Ingles for groceries, etc. A good place for travelling with toddlers, too. I would stay here again for the decent price.

This hotel is situated only a few minutes from the harbour, the market and the shopping streets. It is clean and functional and has a friendly cafeteria / bar attached for breakfast and other meals if desired although these were not sampled so I can't comment on the quality.

For the price the hotel is a bargain and ask for a room with a balcony to watch the world go by below. Do not expect the Ritz, just a friendly, convenient and value for money place to stay.

The hotel has its own parking garage at about 7 Euros per night which is useful.

The Leuka Hotel is a perfect start for exploring Alicante. It is very centric and within 10 minutes walking you'r at the beach, at the major shopping centre or at the train station (all different directions). The hotel itself has nice and clean rooms, you might even find a minibar on some of them, and the restaurant offers some great tapas. Don't let the old-fashioned look fool you: Leuka is worth the 3 stars.
