“Return Flight Cancelled”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2010

Our return flight was cancelled and we were placed in this hotel for the night, only complaint was the road noise at night (never ending). The staff were fantastic esp the young male receptionist who worked during the day of the 22nd (it did help that he was gorgeous) but he and the rest of the staff couldn't have been more helpful, they deserved a medal, having to cope with 160 grumpy brits

“Lovely Staff and Great Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2010

I am not sure about the other review about the staff not been friendly as we experienced excellent customer service from the team so thenk you a lovely stay. The only negative is the office door is left open and you hav to keep getting them from the office but when they served they delivered. I think the door should be closed as the customers are in the receptio not in the office.
We dined in the restaurant the food was good did the job as there are not bars, retaurants or shops in walking distance.
The hotel was further from the town center the I thought there was a bus service but in the winter they only operate every hour and if you wanted a night out you would need to get a taxi back they the service finishes at 10pm a taxi cost us 8 euro.
There is not bus to the airport which is disappointing as there is a bus stop outside the hotel which the C6 can stop at which would be something to look into as a taxi to the airport cost 15 euro but were advised it would only be 10 euro so we felt cheated by that.
The breakfast was great couldn't ask for anymore. The internet is 1 euro for 6 minutes which is absolutly amazing this cost is far too high and needs to be reviewed especially when you are in the middle of nowhere.
The beach is in the town center I thought it was next to the hotel so we had to get two buses one to the beach then again to go out in the evening.
Alicante town is lovely especially in the old area. You can have a trip to Benidorm for them day going by tram cost 5.70 euro return and took 1 hour 15 mins
I would return even though the distance to the center is futher than anticipated having done research I will now know what to do in the future.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

“Nice hotel, disappointing staff.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2010

Me and my partner stayed there recently for over a week. As having a car we found the location very convenient- just about 5 minutes drive to the Alicante centre and lovely sandy beach and the same distance to the airport.
Hotel itself looks like any other Express with lounge, bar, restaurant and tea/coffee facilities in the room. I was a bit disappointed with the lounge area though, not cosy at all, no music (even quietly) and on the tiny chairs is very difficult to sit and just relax. It would be nice if they fit two or three comfy sofas there!
The room was very clean, well maintened, and there was a plenty of space to move around in it. Big plus goes to housekeeping girl who did a great job in servicing our room every day!
Breakfast was OK, I liked the fact there was cheese and ham and fresh crispy bread every day. I disliked yogurts and juice (juice in fact not drinkable!)
One point of this hotel that disappointed me a big big time was staff unfortunately. They seemed to be unhelpful and never interested in oour stay (non of them never engaged a conversation about our stay despite that we spoke Spanish with them!)! They did not want to help with any information (although we just asked 2 or 3 times but gave up later)One staff member made our stay especially miserable. Her name was Patricia and she was the most unfriendly, unproffessional, unhellpful and cold receptionist!. I could not believe how a staff member of a hotel can treat the guests that way, we were confused and felt totally akward (and she was on shift most of the days). I still feel sad and furious at the same time.
On the other hand Daniela at the restaurant deserves a big thank you for her friendliness and hard work!
Overall good stay, except staff.

“Good Overnighter But Wouldn't Stay Longer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2010

Travelled with husband and two children 7 and 9. Flew into Alicante late at night so needed hotel close by. Arrived just before midnight. Five minute taxi ride and checked in really quickly. Good nights sleep and a reasonably good (considering it was free) breakfast. Taxi back to airport the next day to collect hire car to begin holiday. Job done.

“No suprises”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

This is probably one of the nearest of Alicante’s hotels to the airport and an early morning flight was the reason I used it. Had all the comforts you would expect from a chain hotel. All at reception were very friendly as was the lady who manned the breakfast area. This hotel is a couple of miles from Alicante city centre and the beach area across the road is not a sandy beach but rocky. The road outside the hotel is busy but will not impact your sleep as the hotel is about 50 metres from the road. When travelling from the direction of the airport the hotel is located directly after the Cuidad de la Luz film studio. The breakfast was a little disappointing as many of the items contained unhealthy ingredients such artificial sweetener and glucose-fructose syrup but unfortunately this sort of junk is becoming more and more prevalent in hotels, which is a shame. Some good in-house baking would solve this problem.
