“Wonderful Hotel and Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

The staff cannot do enough to help - and the hotel is in a lovely style with frescoes and flower arrangements. It would be a lovely romantic place to stay - with the right person!
The train track behind the hotel can be a little intrusive to start - but you soon get used to it. The lake is beautiful and the hotel is well placed for visiting this and the other lakes. Milan is best by train from Brescia. You can get to Como and Garda easily from here with a car. The hotel restaurant is a private enterprise but the food is delicious. There are a few other restaurants around but not much within walking distance. Breakfast is the normal continental fayre but well presented and good quality. Would recommend this to anyone. A wonderful hotel!

“4 star villa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2011

We stayed 4 nights at the Vllla Kinzica - and we feel that for once that you here find a small family run villa hotel that actually deserves the 4 stars. Meet only friendly and helpfull staff - free parking in the basement - room for 8 to 10 cars depending on seize. Can be an advantage to check if there is room in the basement before you go down - it is not that easy to get up backwards. If you book this hotel you should try and get the rooms with sea view - small but ok pool - we saw pool service twice while we were there. Rooms not that large - but ok as long as weather is nice. There is plenty of sitting areas in side and out side if you want to sit and read or use the internet - 6 euro for 12 hours. Personally I feel they should hike the room rate marginally and have free wifi.
Boat to Iseo island like max 10 minutes walk from the hotel - or you can use bikes at the hotel for free. Breakfast has according to my standards never been an Italian speciality - so didnt expect super breakfast - it is absolutely ok - except I would prefer a better bread selection. The restaurant in the house for dinner had a nice selection of bread - why dont you use some of their bread ?
The restaurant at the hotel is probably the best and most expensive in Sale Marasino - in general we were ok with dining there - but would not do it for more than 4 days as choice of dishes wasnt that many if you are a family. Maybe chef at restaurant trying to make some of the dishes a little to fancy - not sure who he wants to impress. Have eaten a lot of tiramisu in my life - but the one served her was more like a fruit salad with little tiramisu. We only drank local Franciacorte buble wine - so cant say about wine prices. When you sign the bill at resaturent for the dinner it doesnt state an amount of the evening - bit strange.
Not that many dining places with in walking distance - this hotel is in a small town - if you are loking for bigger town you should stay in Louvere or Iseo. Would anytime recoment this hotel.

“Fabulous BUT!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2011

We were recommended to stay at this hotel as our first choice in Isoe was full. When we arrived the receptionist could not be more helpful the room was great and we were able to park our vehicle in the under ground parking area free of charge. We were persuaded by the restaurant chef to select half board as it would work out "better value for money" BUT we had to commit for all 3 nights. We do not usually do this as we like to eat in differenet places and not be tied to one restaurant if we do not know it. However we selected the half board this is where things went totally wrong. The chef lied to us as the menu does not show clearly that for some of the dishes there is a massive supplement , the chef told us that anything could be selected. With regard to the wine list, it is very misleading as the price per bottle in the front of the list does not show how big the bottle is they are in fact for 500cl the price for the 750cl bottle is hidden much further on in the list and only explained in Italian!!!! We both questioned this with the Restaurant manager and stated that this was misleading and she was then really rude to us and flew off her italian handle, within seconds the chef came out and was also very rude to us to such an extent that the shouting was upsetting other guests who were eatinhg there. We simply stated that the info provided was misleading and decided to change our minds from half board back to bed and breakfast so that we were not "tied" to the restaurant ( we then found out that the restaurant was not part of the hotel management and that it was run independently). The decision to do B&B only sent our chef and manageress into complete rage as they did not want to lose the business we flattly refused to change our minds and it was at this point that the manageress lost the plot completely and ordered us to leave the restaurant, this after we had had a very nice starter and wine etc.So we did and walked through to the hotel reception at this point we were again confronted with the manageress who abused us even more and then oredred us to leave the HOTEL so we did, at 9.30 at night we packed our bags and left for Brescia where we stayed at The Park hotel and we were provided with a suite and had a lovley night. In summary be very careful I can recommend the Hotel but stay well way from the restaurant, the chef and the restaurant manageress as she has dilutions of higher things that she cannot provide.

Room Tip: Do NOT agree to half board for this Hotel at any time Also there is a farm within 30 metres with noi...

“Small friendly hotel with great customer service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2010

My wife is coeliac and requires a gluten free diet, we advised the hotel in advance and they catered superbly, exceeding all of our expectations. We chose the half board option but in addition there was complimentary coffee, iced tea and cakes available to all guests throughout the day. All of the staff are very friendly and accomodating, there was always someone available who spoke good English and nothing was a trouble to them.

Our bedroom had a small balcony facing Monte Isola and the lake, which added to the experience. Whilst the room did not have modern air conditioning it did have a large ceiling fan which was very efficient and kept us cool in the height of season. Both the interior and exterior of the hotel are very well maintained and beautiful, the pool is small with sufficient sunbeds.

The hotel is easily accessible by car from the main A4 autostrada, using main A roads up to Iseo town and then a lakeside road on which the hotel is situated. It is located within a ten minute walk of the ferry to Monte Isola and a twenty minute car journey into Iseo town; as the lake is small you can easily drive around the perimeter in a day, taking time to stop at points of interest along the way.
