“A friendly, family welcome for a Family from Scotland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

Not having been in Italy for 5 years, we (my wife, 10 year old daughter and I) were very much looking forward to our week in Tuscany. We were not disappointed. From the excellent email communication prior to our visit through to the warm welcome when we arrived and into our week at this wonderful property, we had a fantastic, relaxing week in the sun. The owners were very helpful and accommodating and the family who rented the rest of the villa whilst we were there (who rent it every year) were also very friendly and welcoming. The property itself is very well maintained and offers everything we wanted for our holiday. We enjoyed walking through the valley and followed the routes laid out by the family to the etruscan tombs.

Location wise - it's very easy to get to from Pisa airport (about 40 mins by car) and the village (Montopoli) is within walking distance (20 mins walking) but I would agree with others that you really do need a car.

I would like very much to return to this wonderful property and may well do that next year.

John

“Realy peaceful location, with nice pool, and cute animal family.”

We were two couples who stayed at this place for seven days, 20 to 27 August.. Location is excellent, very quite and secure. Excellent for early morning country walks. Not far away from Pisa Airport, however a car is a must. The place has a nice BBQ area near the pool. we grilled some meats during our stay. Owners are very nice and helpfull. They also have a friendly animal family(refer to Website) The only disadvantage we saw is that there was only one bathroom for two couples. We highly recommend this place.

“Wonderful Agriturismo”

This is a very friendly and welcoming agriturismo. It is located outside the village of Montipoli in Val D' Arno and it is set in very peaceful countryside. The farm has animals, barns and plenty of nooks and crannies for the kids to explore. There is also a lovely walk up the hills through the olive groves.
Location is excellent. Very peaceful but only 4kms from the main Pisa - Florence motorway which means you have easy access to the city sights and hill towns of Tuscany, while San Miniato is only 10kms down the road. Just as enjoyable as the days in the cities is driving through the quiet country roads and lanes around this agriturismo - all in all an excellent base for a holiday. The family who own the farm are very friendly and helpful and bring a great air of relaxation to the place. Well recommended.

“Superb for sightseeing or just relaxing”

We had a lovely week in this charming and friendly Agritourismo. The location is perfect, the farm is tucked away in the hills behind the small medevile town of Montopoli. The farm has its own olive groves and there are plentiful fig trees. Here are the highlights

- They make great olive oil and honey and sell it in the farm shop.
- authentically furnished apartments in the farm.
- Great swimming pool with district views
- farm animals for the children to play with
- greart for runs through the countryside.
- montopoli is a lovely little town. there is an amazing deli selling proscuito and local salami
- there is a beautiful but expensive restaurant (Quatro Gigli) in Montopoli, very romatic and superb food.
- San Gininagmo is a 40 minute drive
- Pisa Airport is also 40 minutes away.

“Great agriturismo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2007

We spent a very pleasant week in this agriturismo - it was, by a comfortable margin, the best agriturismo we've ever been to. The apartments are very spacious (La Quercia suitable for persons in wheelchairs) and beatifully furnished. The owners are easygoing and very accomodating.

  • Liked — atmosphere, large apartment, wheelchair friendly
  • Disliked — couldn't stay longer
