Very walkable distance from airport but must walk IN BUSY ROAD part of the way and dark tunnel (scary at night/early morning). Cab ride is expensive. For the number of people who make this dangerous walk daily, it is inexcusable for the hotel not to provide a shuttle. This is the only hotel we could actually see from the airport front door; it is right across the street. If you are young and fit, make the walk. If you are elderly, physically challenged, or have a lot of luggage, you must hire a cab--due to the highway between the airport and hotel, the walking path to the hotel (not a direct shot) is probably close to a mile in distance.
The hotel itself is modern, clean, and spacious. We upgraded for 20Euros which gave us wifi, minibar, and junior suite. The large room was gorgeous. Given that wifi would have cost an additional 10Euros anyhow, this was a worthwhile upgrade.
Hotel restaurant was fantastic. We arrived at hotel around 7 pm, shopped at the large mall directily adjacent to hotel for a couple of hours (open until 10 pm on a Thursday night) and had a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant at 10 pm (open until 11 pm). Food, wine, dessert, menu options were excellent!
For an airport hotel, this was one of the best we have used. It was nice to arrive in the evening and still have time to settle in, do some last minute shopping, and still get a fantastic meal late into the evening without having to chase all over the place.
My only reason for not giving an excellent rating across the board is that I feel it is the duty of this hotel to provide a safe way for patrons to access the property. There are signs all the way along the path from the airport to the hotel directing you to their establishment; they obviously view this as an acceptable means of arrival. It is definitely not.
Room Tip: Take the upgrade for 20Euros. Large corner room (junior suite) includes stocked mini bar and wifi...
