“Hotel with confused identity”

I recently stayed at Hotel Lemon Tree. Stay was not uncomfortable as such but I felt that Lemon Tree is having some identity crisis. They are not sure whether they are luxury hotel chain or budget hotel chain. There tarriff is more towards luxury but some of the facilities are very basic. For example, they have a very basic, old type television with very few channels. Bathroom has tap and shower. If you want to use tap for bathing, there is no bucket. If you want to use, shower, there is no showere cap. Only toileteries supplied are soap and shampoo. Most of the menu items were not available for room service. I had to wait for 20 minutes at counter to check out. Wifi is chargeable. Staff was courteous though.

Bathrooms are well equipped . The food was very nice and well presented. The ambiance of the hotel is very refreshing its well kept ,neat and clean. The room service was very prompt. The over all experience was really very special.

Room Tip: VI Floor rooms are better than the ones on IV Floor.

“Nice room but bad location and unfriendly staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

I stayed in this hotel for 2 night in December 2011. Being my first visit to India, I made a mistake taking this Hotel primarily based on it's location. It is located outside Delhi and travelling arounf became expensive. The reception staff need to be more friendly and better understanding of English would have helped. They don't even thank you for staying with them neither did they wish me well when I checked out. I requested a taxi to the airport 9 hours prior to my check out and at the time of check out, they were still confused and frantically phoning for a taxi....Poor communication skills. The rooms are very clean and neat. Bathroom facilities are excellent. Comfortable bed. Safe in room was helpful. Nice decor.....Lemon aroma was refreshing after touring Delhi. Not easy taking luggage on stairs though in ground floor foyer area though....should have a ramp at least. Shopping mall is pathetic....by western standards at least. The hotel was close to the Delhi Metro (Anand Vihar), about 10 minute walk. This saved me from being ripped off by taxi drivers.
