We booked this hotel exclusively for the weekend starting with a family dinner party on Friday night and our wedding on Saturday. It was everything that we hoped it would be. Friendly service, wonderful food, a warm intimate atmosphere that no hotel chain could recreate and the quirky charm that comes with no two bedrooms being the same. All of our party were enchanted by it.

Spent one night in Crosby Lodge and whilst the dinner and breakfast were very good the bedrooms (we were shown5!) are badly needing refurbished .
Very expensive for what it was.

If anybody looking at this review has any doubts regarding going to Crosby Lodge for lunch or dinner, have no fears... This esablishement is wonderffull in every form. You are treated special,made very welcome and the food is always most beautifullt presented and always cooked the way you asked. Mrs Sedgewick is a Lady who likes to make her guests feel at home and always makes you welcome and make sure you are comfortable and receives the attention that you would expect from a high class hotel, such a pity there are not more people like her. We would never consider going anywhere else as we know we will come away happy........ Congratulations to all at Crosby Lodge,,, what a pity that more hotels don't take a leaf out of your book.... we will always come back even if you don't want the terribel four.!!!!

The hotel looked lovely on the web, we arrived and were placed in an annexe off the main hotel which smelt musty and appeared to be unkempt, we had asked for a double room but the beds were two single and felt damp, they also did not appear to have been changed since the last occupant left. No tea or coffee facilites were available in the room and the room service was slow to say the least. We had booked for dinner, which was good, however, you could cut the atmosphere with a knife, in fact there was no atmosphere, a very cold feeling.
