I stayed in this hotel for ten days , after a four day safari trip. We stayed half board , the food was pleasant , lots of variety , room was spacious and spotless. Freddy , the manager asked on our second day if all was to our liking and when I said we'd appreciate a fridge (I didnt know we should have had one to start with) he sorted it in less than five minutes.The location couldnt have been better , and the only adverse comment I could make is that the rooms need updating , but this didnt in any way spoil any of our trip.We were at the "back" of the hotel , which was actually an advantage as the room was always quiet.

First room had dodgy air con, trickle from shower and very loud band!! Next day we were moved and all sorted. Far from best hotel ever but staff v willing, Indian restaurant excellent
V big so takes a while to finf what suits but 4 nights was enough at end of luxury safari a bit disappointing

This was my first time to Kenya and the Travellers Beach Hotel & Club staying 21st December to 3rd January on an all inclusive basis and would thoroughly recommend staying here, i travelled with my mum who has stayed here 12 times sometimes 3 times a year.
My mum has always stayed in the club side in the same room where possible which is overlooking the pool and the beach , rooms are spacious with a double and single bed ,sofa,chair and tv and tea and coffee making facilities. the beds are surrounded by a mosquito net .Our room was cleaned daily with clean sheets and towels provided every day by Alex.
Food was buffet style with a wide variety of foods available to cater for everyones tastes, our waiters were Walter and Joseph (big daddy and bushman) who were very friendly and made me feel very welcome being my first time there.
The Travellers put on really nice food and enterntainment both christmas eve and new years day which was outside in the carpark and had gone to great trouble to make it look really nice .The staff at the pool side snack bar were very friendly (Megastone ,Benson,Elzabeth and Hassan ) there was a variety of snacks and drinks on offer every day, there wasnt much noise at night as the poolside bar tended to close around midnight . The pools were cleaned daily and there was enough sunbeds for everyone the sunbed boys will put towels on the beds every morning ready for you The monkeys were frequent visitors to the Travellers loved watching them playing in the grounds and walking on the balconys.The animation team were really good and worked really hard doing their shows at night , we didnt venture out of the hotel grounds much at night except on new years eve to walk on the beach to see the locals celebrating.
The beach was lovely and the sea really warm , we went on a beach safari on the glass bottom boat booked through the guy just at the top of the steps that lead onto the beach , we wasnt bothered by the beach boys as mums friend took us down the beach with his friend,
We visited Haller Park whilst i was there which was a lovely place seeing the giraffes and crocodiles being fed and all the other animals they have there.
We travelled into Mtwapa on a mattatu which was an experience to see a friends family which was an eye opener seeing how people live and the poverty there.
I would definately return again to Travellers as the friends my mum has made over the years are now my friends and i cant wait to get back there as i had a fantastic time.The Kenyans are lovely people who havent got much but they are always smiling and will do everything they can to ensure that you have a great holiday .

travellers needs uplifting...... which would bring it in line with the four star rating its supposed to have....more like three star. other then that its a
pleasent hotel and very friendly staff...... rooms are comfortable. food is good with a wide varity of choice, we went last week of august when the hotel was not full. we all had a good time and then headed to the mara for the annual migration wonderful experiance
