“Great place to stay”

We stayed here while walking the St Cuthberts Way. The owner made us feel very welcome even though we arrived very late after a long day walking, the room was clean and spacious with a private bathroom, a comfy bed, biscuits, and even a mat to put muddy hiking boots on. The breakfast was great and the home made chutney in the packed lunch sandwiches was wonderful. We'll definitely stay there if we visit Kirk Yetholm again.

“Excellent accomodation and friendly welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2010

We were agroup of 4 lady walkers and this was by far the most comfortable and welcoming place we stayed during our walk. The rooms were tastefully furnidshed and spotlessly clean as was the ensuite. Comfortable beds and quiet location. Owner was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and so well presented and served. Packed lunches great and very welcome when we were perched on top of the Cheviot hills. One of the best places we have stayed during our many walks.

“Home comforts and more”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2010

I stayed just one night at this delightful B&B while walking St Cuthbert's Way. I would certainly go back again and thoroughly recommend it to others. Ideally situated by the village green, it had everything needed by a walker (good shower, comfortable bed, matting for boots, custard creams!) and the owner added her warm and helpful personality without being intrusive.

“Welcoming host and clean surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2010

Only stayed the one night as part of a cycling tour of the Borders. The premises were very clean, light and airy and the welcome made us all feel right at home. Bedrooms were nicely decorated and the beds comfy which guaranteed a good nights sleep. The owner took the trouble to ring the Border Hotel to book us a table for our evening meal...normally you need to book in advance. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day ahead. Overall very good value.

Very convenient for the Pennine Way, being just 100m from the Border Hotel, official start/end of the Pennine Way. Clean large room with good hot shower. Good breakfast. We have booked it again for another trip later this month.
