We stopped in without a reservation and were told that there was one room left for the night. I speak a little Italian and was making the arrangements in that language, and I am 100% certain that the very warm and friendly owner quoted me a price of "sessanta" euros with breakfast (60 euros) or 80-something if we had dinner (they do full and half-board in their own restaurant). We had already purchased the makings of a picnic, so we agreed to the BnB rate. The room was spotlessly clean, larger than usual in Europe, furnished in typical rustic chalet style, charming but not luxurious. There is no TV or WiFi or phone in the room. The owner and her staff were always very kind and service-oriented, opening our bottle of wine for us and providing us with 2 glasses, all smiles. The location is beautiful, peaceful, quiet, it's a shame we didn't get a room with a view, but these were all rented to the exclusively Italian clientele. The next morning after an average breakfast with above-average cappucinos, we were so surprised to be presented with a bill for 80 euros that I didn't have the heart to argue. I was very disappointed, because they had seemed so warm-hearted and kind, but we couldn't help but feel taken advantage of, perhaps because we were the only customers who were obviously not potential repeats (or so they thought because of our US passports... I didn't say anything about the fact that I live in Europe...) We enjoyed our stay until the bill came, and even then, if nothing else were available nearby, I would go again, but get the bill in writing upfront the next time.
