The Hotel Continental is located in Nago, at the north end of Lake Garda. It is a good "base camp" to travel around Lake Garda and enjoy Torbole and Riva del Garda. The rooms were not very big, but clean. There is a small underground parking structure and on most days we got the last or second to last free parking spot.
Free Wi-Fi is available, but very slow. The real gem of the hotel is the pool area, which is located in an olive grove - I loved to hang out there and relax.
The real downside of this hotel is the breakfast, which has a big selection, but very poor quality. It was really hard to find something, which tasted OK. This made me think about giving only 2 points, but the pool pushed me to the 3 point rating.
Overall I would probably search for another hotel next time I visit Lake Garda.

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and the hotel is very well maintained and clean, bedrroms were cleaned everyday, towels changed everyday. We were upgraded to full board without notice which was a pleasent surprise,
Breakfasts were continental, but with plenty of choice.
Lunch, not alot to choose from, but if you like sald you'll be happy, the food was very tasty.
Afternoon tea was a choice of pasteries and cakes and a cold drink.
Dinner, was a four course meal everynight with a choice most nights, but a fixed menu some nights, I would have like to have seen more choice in the menu for the evening meal.
The service was second to none and staff were very polite and helpful.
The Pool area was clean and tidy, but wth a limited number of sunbeds and the Germans were always first there ! It could have done wth a pool side bar as the pool is not within the Hotel grounds, it is at the rear within a garden area.
Overall a very enjoyable stay in a beautifull part of Italy, Thank you.

This is an excellent hotel with good food, clean rooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and courteous and helpful staff.. Its in the quiet little village of Nago which is about 2km up a steep hill (no footpath) from the Lake Garda resort of Torbole. The hotel runs a courtesy bus (8 seats) once a day in each direction and we found ourselves making our plans (eg for lake ferry trips) around the courtesy bus times - it all became a bit restrictive - everything had to be planned ahead.. A wider choice of bus times would have been helpful. There is a public bus service which stops close to the hotel but it proved unreliable.

In the evening after an excellent dinner a stroll was either through the vineyards or through the village. Not quite the same as some people watching along the lakeside promenade at Riva or Torbole with maybe a stop off for some ice cream.

Our holiday was organised by Newmarket who advertise extensively in local newspapers and was an "allocate hotel on arrival" deal - perhaps we were expecting too much for a Lake Garda Holiday - the hotel doesn't even have a lake view!

Fantastic time had. Service was great and staff were very friendly. The food was really good at breakfast & dinner also cakes & drinks for free every afternoon. Rooms were very comfortable and very very clean. Both indoor and outdoor pools were good. The hotel was in a little village with lots of little places to pop to in the evening if you dont want to stay in the hotel all the time. It takes about 15-20 mins to walk to the lake in Torbole and it is a hill but really worth it. All the trips we went on were great.
