We stayed 7 nights at Wiental Hotel in August 2007 for visiting Vienna and its neighbourhood. The hotel was far from Vienna and located in a small town (Pressbaum). So, to secure the dinner, we took a half board and we did well : the food at evening was done by the owner and very tasteful (but we were almost always alone in the restaurant). The only restaurant in the area (walking distance) was a Chinese, which we tried during the day the hotel's restaurant was closed, and it was ok. Coming back to the Wiental hotel, we booked a "Familenzimmer" (i.e. family room) for 2 adults and 2 childrens and got a big room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. So, we asked for a fourth bed and finally got a baby coat (for our young child) with an extra-cost per day (we've been informed at the moment we paid the bill). The toilet (located in the very small and old bathroom, not renewed since more than 10 years) was not clean and very smelly. The room was noisy : we could hear the groups coming late in the evening and the big road just in front of the hotel. The breakfast was not very fresh : they let the food too long on the buffet and we had the feeling they were re-using the remaining buffet foods for the next day. The hotel propose a lot of activities (horse riding, cosmetics...) with extra costs, but we did not use them because we wanted to visit Vienna, Schonbrunn, Melk...We had not a lot of contact with the staff and the owners, they were most of the time absent (maybe too busy with the other activities...), but could have tips for going to Vienna by public transportation when we asked the owner's wife (when we could find her). All in all, I would not recommend this hotel for a long stay (maybe 1 night could be ok, if you do not have other choice, like the groups, travelling by bus, we met there). I'm sure you could get a much better value for money with a "Pension" in Vienna or nearby...
