If you want to have a nice time and relax in the moutains, you must go to Aqua Dome. The facilities are great (the pools, the termal water) and you must choose a room with view to the mountain. There's no more calming view than to wake up and see a covered with snow mountain, just in front of your window. No people, no cars. Just you and the mountain. It's also very romantic. The staff was kind, we ate very well: the food at the restaurant is nice and you must try it. The breakfast has a lot of choice, so for as long you'll stay there, you're not going to be bored. The bar is also nice for chatting and having some cocktails.

My company had a business meeting there, so I get to be introduced to Austrian Alps and SPA experience. It was great! the hotel itself is a pure enjoyment. The room is impeccable, it's the style of Zen (Japanese wooden-feel) and Western Modern, through the window you have an unblocked view of the mountaines. You feel like being separated from the rest of the world, just you and nature.
The hotel guests have free access to the SPA facilities. I tried the outdoor pool (therme), it was beyond description. It was sunny with blue sky. There was relaxing music in the air. I emmersed myself in the Great Nature while keeping warm. A great place to unwind.
The staff was overall friendly and helpful. I especially recommended the staff at the restaurant, very attentive and friendly.
I will definitely come back again, for vacation not for work for sure. :)

Visited Aqua Dome during January for the pleasure of sitting in the warm pools outside on a cold winter night. (Totally worth it!) The hotel is located in the fields near the small town of Langenfeld - easily walkable into town, but I don't know how you would get to the hotel (or the town) from Innsbruck without a car. Our room was modern, spacious, and beautifully appointed. The underground passageway to the spa area was something like the tunnel that connects the United terminals at Chicago O'Hare - left at the end of the hallway takes you to the pool areas (swimsuits required), right takes you to the sauna area (au naturel). There are two smallish pools in the sauna area, but interestingly, they were a bit on the tepid side - not so great for soaking. We wished there had been a naturist evening on the textile pool side simply for the joy of experiencing the three outside tiered pools without clingy wet nylon.

The restaurant was excellent. Menu choices are limited each night, but we were very pleased with the food and the attentive service. Wine costs extra, but the wine list is extensive with options for different budgets and tastes. We spent a lot of time hiking over the surrounding ridges, and especially enjoyed the evening excursion up to a nearby chalet where they served a traditional local meal. Local musicians added a lot of fun to the evening, followed by an excursion down the hill in the back of a small truck that would rival most carnival rides. Good fun! Great memories.

In short, Austrians really have this down to a science. It's all a bit pricey, but you certainly feel pampered and away from it all. Well worth the journey event though it's out of the way, especially if you're likely to enjoy the spa facilities. We're eager to go back!
