Friends and I stayed at this location after reading reviews on tripadvisor and from reccommendations. The property was beautiful and the service impeccable. The food was good, the rooms were clean and we wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is a little far outside the main city, but worth it if you are touring around the vineyards. We would stay here again.

There is no end to the praise I could give to this exquisite property with its helpful and immensely intelligent staff. It has all the service features you would expect of a privately run establishment and is ideally located 15 mins taxi drive from the centre of Bordeaux. The Brasserie is wonderfully friendly and the food (and drink) is out of this world. This is a sophisticated hotel choice and has the perfect outdoor heated pool. Next door is a thermal spa treatment centre. I did not try this because under 18s are not admitted and I travel with a child. But it is clearly beautiful. Bordeaux is a magnificent UNESCO world heritage site as well as the centre of world wine production. What more could you want? Photos on the [--} site hardly do it justice.

I thought that the grounds and property itself was lovely. Also the wine at the adjacent vineyard (Smith Haute) was great and bought a few cases....however, I was disappointed overall with the stay. We were not able to check in until 4pm which I feel is a bit off. we just wanted to go and unwind in the room after a long drive but had to sit around in the lobby lounge when it was pouring with rain outside so we had no where to go for 2 hours. Considering the price you pay and if you have to leave in the morning, it is a waste of money given you are only there for a sleep...Also 22 euro for breakfast is ridiculous as it should be included in the high cost of the room rate. 22 euro for a crossaint and bit of bread? I'd skip it.

stayed here for 2 nights early august. had one of the "comfort" rooms which was very nice size with good bathroom and a view over the pool with a small terrace ---- only problem was it had an unpleasant odour (drains i think) which was somewhat off-putting. both restaurants (bistro type one and gastonomic one) were both absolutely fantastic - food was wonderful, service great and amazingly good value. staff thru-out where delightful. spa was nice but treatments a little disappointing - facials were good but massage was very nothinging and reflexology a complete wasted of time. the nearby (2 mins walk) chateau which is owned by the parents of the people that own the hotel/spa is well worth a visit
