We stayed at La Guillonniere a few years ago and we were looking forward to coming back with friends .We took all the accomodations last summer.
We had a great time
The property was very clean and well presented in a traditional french style,
It also benefited from a massive flat screen which the kids loved.
The kitchen were ideal for preparing meals .We never ate indoors : the park was very nice ,many tables and garden furniture everywhere.
The owners were very friendly and gave us lots of information on the area ...withe all the chateaux we visited and staying in a dream castle we had a brilliant holiday
Il we return to the Loire ,would stay again here .

We had a lovely stay with our friends at the chateau .Mr and Ms d,Alba are great hosts,very helpful with suggestions of sightseeing that makes you feel as you were staying at friends home ...The place is beautifull ,very well kept and restored , and has the plus of a nice park and several kitchens ,so that you can cook your own meals and eat in the garden rather than having to gho always to a restaurant ...that can be quite stressfull when travelling with young and overexited kids ...the location is perfect ; country side but chose enough to Paris and to many lovely places to visit
We definitely go back again on our nex trip to France.

My family and I were traveling around France as an alternative to sticking around the States during Christmas time. A family friend had recommended that if we happened to be in the area, that we should make it a point to stay in the beautiful and historic Chateau de la Guillonniere. In French, chateau means castle, and the Chateau de la Guillonniere is a real castle.
We were very happy to have taken them up on this advice. My family and I found the owners of the property to be warm, helpful and conscientious and the accommodations were stellar. We felt like royalty.
We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here several years ago, and it was one of the highlights of our Loire Valley trip. We were there of-season, so we had the place all to ourselves(two couples). The owners were very kind and generous with their advice. We loved this area and the history of this chateau. We speak of this place often, and in the most glowing terms.
