Our stay was a pleasure as were Paul & Steve.Their friendly hospitality does them credit & made our few days very enjoyable ones.The meals were first class,fresh , well cooked with an extremely wide choice.The room was very comfortable & of a high standard &had everthing that was needed.Overall excellence!.

We booked Ty-Castell, after trailing through various sites and links for Wales: there's only so much time you want to dedicate to selecting a 4-night stay. Paul & Steve were happy to honour the tariff for half-board I found on one website and their communication was swift and friendly. And that's how it continued upon arrival. What can you expect from mid-Feb in Wales: no fishing nor river walks, but it was all there once spring and summer arrive. The room was scrupulously clean and comfortable, breakfast extensive and the dinner we selected each morning was delicious, there's even a wine list to choose from. The last night we selected something a bit more special: that too was provided with taste. Friendly conversation and morning call came free! All in all: a great place to unwind, and plenty of places to visit in the area, even in February.

We went to Ty Castell in April 2006 for a short break for our first year celebration, it was the perfect break, especially if you love Wales anyway. Situated on the River Towy was a view to die for especially as was quite cold and the mist over the river in the morning was very picturesque. Paul and Steve were the perfect hosts, the breakfast room also looked out onto the river and choice of breakfasts was fantastic, from fruit and yoghurts to a full Welsh/English, we tried all and the Welsh breakfast was gorgeous, laverbread and cockles mmmm! We did not get chance to have an evening meal there as we met up with friends and family out and about.
We then suggested to family to stay here and they have been twice and looking to go back this year(2011) they also had a brilliant time, they advised us to have an evening meal as they had and thoroughly recommended.
We decided in November 2009 to go back there in December 2010 as we decided to marry in Wales, so we booked our stay at Ty Castell and could not wait to get back there.
Paul and Steve made our wedding stay an absolute dream, they definitely went beyond the call of duty for our big wedding, down to the point of hosing the driveway with hot water to melt snow and ice for our wedding car to get in and out easier and safely. Taking in our flowers from the florists delivery while we were at the hairdressers. Making us up a breakfast tray for the morning of the big day, as time was of the essence. Celebratory drinks in the evening when we returned. The morning after played wedding music and songs for us on way down for breakfast,just all the personal touches that Paul and Steve went the extra mile with just made our wedding stay perfect and memorable.
We also had an evening meal the night of our arrival and we would definitely recommend.
Our stay was very affordable and worth every penny and we shall be returning in Summer 2011. Cant wait!!!!
Paul and Steve are great hosts, the B&B is lovely and situated in very ideallic place and position.

Arrived in snowy conditions to a very warm welcome even though we were early. Breakfast was good & plentiful as was the evening meal.
