The Globana is located just a couple of miles away from Leipzig-Halle airport. That was the only good thing about the location. Besides the airport, and a truck stop/gas station/McD there is not much out there. The rooms are clean, and really simple, no airco and in the summer they will provide you with a fan in the room. There is also a restaurant that serves simple dishes. The bar downstairs is small, but got a reasonable selection of drinks. It's a 10min walk to the train station and from there you can take the train to Halle which I really like or to Leipzig which got a beautiful train station. The staff of the hotel is friendly and most of them do speak good English.

Stayed one night as we were catching a very early flt the next day.

took a train from leipzig to local station (about 20 mins). its a long walk to the hotel. ok if you are fit.
hotel is typical modern, low rise type. front desk staff all spoke good english.
room size OK and very clean. beds firm.

the hotel seems to be situated in an office park type environment, so nothing much to do around it. its very much a business hotel. good restaurant, if a bit pricey.

internet was down for the time we were there.
hotel arranged for free transport to airport. hotel very convenient if you are catching a flt.

Not very close to the airport, and situated off a highway (no highway noise though) so in terms of scenery and position its not so appealing. To reach it you need a car or else you can ask for the shuttle service to pick you up at the airport. I was here for one very short night but the staff were very efficient and friendly, especially when we needed directions form the airport. The rooms are very clean, standard layout the bathrooms were the same. It looks like its the place to stay if you have an early flight from Leipzig and dont want to come all the way from the city. Lots of parking space too. Price is pretty competitive too.
