Two years ago I celebrated new year's eve at Dorint Windhagen using a value package. This year also. Same good service, same excellent kitchen, and personal treatment by the hotel director, who even assisted me cleaning my completely undersnowed car at the departure.
I only missed the entertainment, that was more extensive two years ago, I guess crisis kicked in here as well. Free contest at midnight with 10 weekends to win (I did win twice in the past at simular Dorint events).
Great pool and sauna accomodation for well educated kids like mine. Not the place to dumb youngsters around the pool as quiet and silence is demanded by the guests.
As usual in germany a full naked sauna only (Some Flemish people can't read and end up upsetting regular sauna visitors when they enter with their old fashioned bathing suits, looking shocked at all those indecent naked people...), with several different flavours, open from 10 till 22 hours. Drink pricing OK for this marked segment. Excellent selection of quality wines.
And last but not least a lovely exceptionally beautifull blonde girl at the reception...

Yes I will come and visit again...

Last week, I had the opportunity to spend a week-long seminar at your hotel and I must say, that I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have probably stayed at 20-30 different hotels in Germany in the last 6-7 years and your hotel ranks at the very top when it comes to service.From a service point-of-view, I would DEFINATELY put you at 5 stars.

Your staff was always polite, helpful and available. Regardless whether it was the wish of a cappucino during a coffee break (although fresh-brewn coffee was available) or lamb for one of my hindu colleagues, or a manicure after hours, when the beauty center was already long-closed - your staff was always there with a smile and with a thank-you. You truly did your best to make us feel well.

Also, congratulations to your cooks: The buffett your provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner was outstanding - with a wide selection of always fresh salads, meats, pasta, fish and excellent desserts - I, like my colleagues, had to force ourselves to STOP eating.

Your spa area was also tremendous, with a nice sauna, pool and whirlpool to relax afterwards. I was pleasantly surprised to see it open from 6am (!) until 10pm (!) - and especially at the extreme hours it was usually fairly empty, allowing us to truly relax.

I also enjoyed going for a morning run through the woods around the ressort and if I played golf, I'm sure I would have had a great time on your golf courses.

The only thing which surprised me was the state of the rooms - they were clean and functional of course, but the furnishing is quite dated and could use a modernization - but considering how wonderful everything else went, I was more than happy to stay with you. Upgrade the rooms, and you will be more than deserving of the five stars for everything.
