“Good business hotel with a little extra - great food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Stayed 2 nights on business. Hotel a bit of a mix - rooms rather spartan but everything yu need - very comfirtable beds.
Evening restaurant was relaxed and excellent food - happy to eat there both nights. Bar area comfprtable and quite trendy - free tapas food early evening was nice touch with drinks.
Location not great other than for business. Paid £75 B & B which was a good price for this standard hotel

“Beautiful and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Very beautiful hotel. Very clean. Nice and professional staff. Rooms are good and no noise at all. Big free parking. Close to A4 motorway. Not close to Milano center but tram #31 stop is at 300 meters.

Room Tip: No tips. Even if one side of the hotel is in front of A4 motorway , rooms as so very soundproofed th...

“save ur $$$/لا لا لا لا لا”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

so yes right next to a motor way in an industrial area very far away from city center n anything fun or exciting. you have to either have a car, pay 50 euros for a taxi one way (if they even have one that far out as it happened to us we were stranded for 4 hours) OR ride the tram n subway for a combined 40mins. n no great sights.

hotel was empty (hint hint) and the 3 people we saw were from nearby European cities visiting for job training so not really tourists. it was clean but other than its standard level cleanliness, they had nothing. it also rained a lot n we were stuck inside n they had like 3 tv channels, french, italian n english.

the food was absolutely horrible. their service sucked. we arrived at 8, took a nap n awoke at 2 n were starving n their solution was to wait 5 hours til they opened their kitchen for dinner!!! no room service NOTHING. what kind of international hotel is this??? the staff were rude n unhelpful. when we arrived, we had previously requested and reconfirmed an early check-in, so we had to wait upwards of an hour for a room when we were even late checking in as we had a delayed flight. no internet, even tho they claim they have it.

the worst was when we took a cab to the MALL to get a bite to eat n when we wanted to go back to the hotel (our first day in italy ever) we were stranded for 4 hours n we couldnt get a cab n we called the hotel n they were like so? i was like we are guests in your country n we don't speak the language, its pouring rain and you wont help us get a cab???? horrible just horrible, eventually we took a bus a few stops, got off, walked n then soaking wet asked police for help n finally got home. so no, i don't recommend them.

Room Tip: just don't stay here!!!

Dear guest,

thank you for this review, of course we are very sorry when guests leave our Cosmo Hotel Palace unhappy.
Regarding the location, our position is well explained on the web and in our communication. We have never promoted our Hotel as a city center Hotel. In any case, as you wrote, the city center is easily reachable with public transport: full instructions are present in our website. Moreover we are in the proximity of highways and this is a plus for most of our Guests.
We are sorry that you didn’t find things to do during your stay, for sure the fact that it rained didn’t help in this. Thank you for your report on the few TV channels available for foreign people, we intend to increase them by the next few months with new schedules. Unfortunately you didn’t spend some time in our wellness center (free of charge) with sauna and turkish bath, maybe this could be a good solution in a cold, rainy day.
Please note that we do have internet, is always free and is now Wi.Fi everywhere in the Hotel.
We have also Snack Bar room service from 10.00 to 24.00, instead for something from the menù of the Restaurant the room service is available for lunch from 12.30 to 14.30 and for dinner from 19.30 to 22.30. Moreover american breakfast and breakfast room-service is open from 07.00 to 10.00 (during week-end extended to 10.30).
We use to receive compliments for this extended food and beveraged services.
Of course we are sorry for not have being able to do the early check-in after having reconfirm you, we have had some unexpected late check-out.
Unfortunately in Milan it is always difficult to find a cab when it rains, we can assure you that we have done everything possible to find one to send you and when we found it and send to the mall (not so easy to do), he call us back and say that he wasn’t able to find you (so we have had a complain from the taxi driver, but we can imagine how hard is to find some people in such a crowded place).
So even if you don’t recommend us we hope to see you again in the future and show you why most of the guest recommend us instead.
Kind regards

“Very basic hotel placed on the side of a motorway”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

The hotel is right alongside a very busy motorway which makes for less than stunning views and means that it's impossible to have your window open - unless you like the noise and smell of heavy traffic.
The rooms are decorated in a minimalistic style (that's me being polite!) and appear to only be available with twin beds. I'm 6'5", so a single bed doesn't make for a good night's sleep!
The staff were friendly enough and the buffet food provided (we were there for a conference) was tasty and plentiful. The only saving grace was that my company picked up the bill. I wouldn't stay here by choice.

Room Tip: Ask for one overlooking the garden rather than the motorway - 50% face each way

Dear guest,

Thank you for this review.
We are sorry that your stay didn’t satisfied you completely.

As you say the proximity to the highway could be a point against us but, at the same time, allows us to be easily accessible from anywhere in northern Italy.
It would be impossible to eliminate noises with the windows open so we think that the important thing is that, once the window is closed, no noises come into the room. For this reason windows have been built with three-layer glasses and we are glad to say that guests never complain about the noise.

The style of the room is intentionally minimalist and refined. Looking better you can notice that some of the most famous Italian brands (like Floss and De Padova) have been used for this kind of interior decoration, which remains unique and much appreciated by most of our guests.

Please note that twin rooms are just 50 out of a total of 201 and, unless the hotel is fully booked (as in this case, just for the event in which you participated), are not assigned for single occupancy.

We are glad that the staff and the internal catering service satisfied you, these are some of the key points on which we always pay close attention since we believe can make the difference during the stay of our guests.

So we do hope that you will be able to return independently from the choices of your Company.

Best regards,

COSMOHOTEL PALACE
