Stayed here with my wife and 3 children in July on a long trip through France and Germany, and of about 10 places we stayed in we all agreed this was the best. It's in Nesselried, 5 km from the Appenweier train station -- the hosts will pick you up if you ask. This fruit-growing region is beautiful, quiet, and exceptionally friendly. The chef-owner and his wife could not have been more kind or accomodating. There is a lovely garden restaurant on the premises -- I agree with the previous review that it was the best food we had in Germany and perhaps Europe. Rooms were sparkling clean with comfortable beds and linen. Internet access is available to guests, and the breakfast was excellent. We had planned to go to Strasbourg or Baden-Baden but we enjoyed the local attractions (swimming pools, a music festival, country walks) so much that we didn't bother. I think you could spend 5 times as much and not have anything as nice. Our highest recommendation for this guesthouse and this region.

Only stayed here one night but it was delightful and would return. Very competative rates compared to Ibis Hotel and much nicer. Food was fantastic - best meal of our holiday infact. Very friendly staff. Made ourselves understood in pigeon german. Highly recommended.
