“truly paradise”

When my wife and I were looking for a honeymoon destination in 2005 we stumbled upon the Cook Islands by accident. After researching some hotels we settled on RBB, six years later and two more stays at RBB we have fallen in love with this place! All the accolades you read about this place are true, the bungalows are well appointed, great kitchen, amazing bathroom, comfortable bed. You can snorkle right off the beach and see an abundence of marine life and the view from the porch to the lagoon is intoxicating! When friends ask why we keep returning we simply tell them this place is tuly paridise! The biggest reason we continue to return is the wonderful staff Tom has assembled around him. They make you feel right at home the minute you arrive and continue that feeling untill you unfortunately have to leave. The people here have become like family to us and we are counting the days untill our return!See you soon Luckey!!

“Tropical Paradise”

Spectacular location, just foot steps in the sand from amazing snorkeling. The five bungalow property offers privacy in your very own paradise. Bungalows are well appointed and include an outdoor private shower. The beds are firm and very comfortable. Air conditioner is located in the bedroom and the front patio doors must be closed in order for it to run. Owners and staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home. I am not a big fan of large roaches and they did seem to make it into our bungalow on a regular basis - but that is the tropics, just be forewarned. There are two dining options with in a ten minute or less walk, but I would recommend renting either a car or a scooter to further explore the island. There are three lagoon front bungalow that offer an unobstructed spectacular view. The two bungalows behind offer a partial view. Traveled over Christmas and the weather was very hot and very humid, even the local residents said it was hot for them. Lagoon water temperature was about 86-88 degrees.

Room Tip: Lagoon view rooms worth the upgrade.

“Raro Beach Bungalows”

This place is just as charming and comfortable as it was when we first visited 5 years ago. Views: spectacular. Facilities: spacious and beautiful. Beach: best snorkeling on the island that is accessible without a boat. Service: " Lucky " and the staff are superb. We had a little issue with our bungalow which was resolved immediately. Location: quiet side of the island. For a restful retreat in an idyllic setting, at a very reasonable cost compared to similar options, this is it! We'll be back.

Room Tip: Definitely select one of the three ocean front bungalows. They are worth the extra cost.

“The Perfect Getaway in Rarotonga”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

RBB Is located on the most perfect white sand beach with great snorkeling right in front of the resort. The bungalows are more spacious than most places - in addition to the usual bedroom and bathroom, they have a living room and full kitchen. There are so many thoughtful touches, from a full-sized mirror at the back of a rotating dresser - to all the lovely sea-inspired decorations. All windows and doors have screens (very important to us) and we didn't have any problems with mosquitos. The air-conditioning in the bedroom is a great place to retreat when you feel too hot. The outside deck is large, with plenty of room for dining and lounging. And the garden shower is so well done - a clean, tiled-floor shower, raised above a beautiful tropical garden, soaps and shampoo in a hanging coconut. Free kayaks are available and we went along the coast to Muri Beach. Breakfast is fresh fruit (great papaya!), toasts, cereals - overseen by Lucky, who was able to answer all our questions about the island. Tom (the owner) and Mary (the office manager) were also very warm and welcoming. This is our first time in the Cook Islands and we will be coming back!

“Beautiful Bungalows”

What a lovely place! We stayed at RBB for 3 nights from 20-23 September. The bungalows are just wonderful. Our bungalow was a beachfront one - which was large, well appointed, and very clean and tidy. The units all seem to be quite new and very well maintained. The bed was superbly comfortable and the bathroom nice and spacious, with a large towel rack (which is important when swimming a lot!). We had a large deck with an unbeatable view, with comfortable chairs for lounging. The restaurant at the resort next door has lovely food, and the staff there were much more friendly than at other places we tried on the island.

We really enjoyed swimming out front from RBB - like taking a warm bath! The swimming is nice at this spot, in that the water is deep enough (unlike other places we tried in the Cook Islands) and the sand is very clean and sandy, rather than being stony.

We enjoyed a walk to the North on the beach, to Fruits of Rarotonga - which reportedly has excellent snorkelling. But we actually only swam out the front of the bungalows. The bungalows each have kayaks and snorkelling gear is provided. I must admit, we didn't raise enough energy to move from our deck and into the kayaks at any stage - but aim to do that next time.

Because YES YES YES! We will be back! This is a magic slice of paradise and a wonderful place to stay.

Room Tip: We had the middle bungalow on the beach front. It was lovely. But actually, they are all nice and...
