What makes Royal Takitumu stand out is the wonderful location on the edge of the beautiful Titikaveka lagoon. We spent 5 nights over New Year's and had a most relaxing time. The lagoon is pristine with an abundance of fish making snorkeling an accessible treat. The privacy, the lush gardens and the tranquility made this private accommodation the perfect hideaway.

My partner and i spent 8 nights at the Royale Takitumu over Christmas and have had the most wonderful holiday. Mii who met us on arrival and also waved us off at the end, became a great new friend. She is a fabulous host, ensuring you have all you need and is also a fountain of information regarding dinning choices etc. The location of the hotel is magical, the water and snorkling was some of the best i have ever seen, canoeing in the lagoon, hammocks to read a great book in, a wonderful swimming pool and the most luxurious grounds i have seen.
Our holiday experience was definately hightened by Mii's attention to detail and the respect they gave us to allow us the privacy we wanted for our getaway...will definately return and ahve receommended this to all we know!

From the friendly welcome to departing like family this was a wonderful stay. What a beautiful spot. The grounds are lush and the beach is perfect. A great beach to experience the sunset on hammocks. The staff are warm and friendly and the place is so peaceful. A great place to relax and unwind. This was the first part of our honeymoon. If you want you wouldn't have to see another person but we also enjoyed the morning tea and especially the international pairs petanque championship and champagne! We haven't got a bad word to say about the place and hope to return someday.

My husband and I were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary and we stayed at the Royale Takitumu in June 2011. It was a lovely...it felt like a home away from home. Mii was so helpful and friendly. The entire staff Mii, Amber and Bill made us feel at home. My husband and I have traveled all over and there is something very special about the island of Rarotonga and it is the people. Very clean, quiet, peaceful....little bit of heaven. We spent most of our time relaxing in the hammocks, snorkeling, and kayaking right outside our villa!
