On the face of it this hotel should be a perfect stop over, modern rooms, with an excellent buffet breakfast included. Dinner was also very nice.
However after a long day's drive we arrived to find the hotel locked and wth no one to answer the front door bell. We had seen two business men with their bags disappearing around the back, having fought their way through the fence and past the dustbins, so we went round to see if the reception was by any chance at the back. We found the two men sitting in the garden, which was obviously closed for Winter with stacks of plastic chairs and cobwebs and spiders everywhere. They told me a lady would return.
A lady did return and took them into the hotel. We tried the front door again and it was locked! The lady eventually returned, at a guess I think she was the cleaner. She obviously had no idea what to do with us and asked us to sit in the garden!!! Luckily it was a sunny day!
Eventually the owners drove up, went into the hotel and about 5 minutes later the owner came out and took us to our room, not a word of explanation! The reservation said please let us know if you are arriving AFTER 6 pm, I think it should have said BEFORE 6 pm!
This hotel was obviously popular with business men and locals, but for foreign guests I felt something in the welcome was lacking.
