“Breakfast as good as the Bed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We, four retired gentlemen, spent some marvellous days at the Villa Giulana. Andrea and Angela are charming, caring and efficient. ( very good culinary advices!) and also discrete. That is how the perfect host should be. The place is very quiet, in the middle of the olive trees. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast is excellent. Wonderful Lecce is just a few miles away. And Angela knows all about the wines of her country, and where to find the best cheeses and bread. If you arrive late and if you are hungry, try trattoria "Li Spilusi" in the neighbourhood.

“Best of the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

Probably the best of a host of great accommodation that we experienced from the Cinque terre to the bottom of Sicily during our recent holliday in Italy.
Andrea and Angela were perfect hosts, with suggestions for one of our best dining experiences ever and how to make the most of our three days there.
Centrally located just a few kms out of town in a beautiful tranquil garden setting, so relaxing after a full day.
Quiet and clean rooms and a lovely breakfast in the garden.
Would definately return and highly recommend to others.

“A Fantastic Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 May 2011

We chose Villa Giuliana because of the great reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and Andrea, Angela and Giuliana provided just the right amount of friendly and welcoming support while at the same time letting us have our own vacation. We also made use of their tour company (Path Walks, Talks and Beyond) to explore the area by ourselves on foot; we were given detailed directions for specific scenic paths as well as maps, a GPS, and a cell phone to call if we needed anything.

We also received a lot of extra service when needed. For example, we arrived with a very specific problem, we had caused some minor damage to our car that we had borrowed from a friend. The B&B owner Andrea found a local expert to take care of the problem the very next day, adding greatly to our peace of mind. The cost for the repair: two bottles of wine!

We give the whole experience top marks all around.

“11 days in paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2010

Unlike previous years when we made a round tour in Italy and Sicily, we planned this year a longer stay in one place in the countryside of Puglia (Salento) We opted for a B&B in the neighbourhood of a historic and touristic town, not too far from the seaside, with comfortable accomodation, a terrace and a parking place for the car. In all these respects Villa Giuliana exceeded our wildest expectations. We were gently welcomed by Giuliana, while Andrea took care of us both in a warm and professional way. He was always ready to provide us with extra and very useful tips when we discussed our daytrip. Moreover, Angela, a professional sommelier, informed us about the wine-scene of the Salento; her friendly appearance contributed to the warm hospitality of the place. Surrounded by palmtrees, plants and flowers we enjoyed our breakfast flavoured with home-made marmelade, fruitjuice and cakes. Back in Belgium we look back with happiness and warmth to our lovely stay in Arnesano with Giuliana, Andrea and Angela.

“Beautiful place to stay, great location and excellent personalized service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2010

The main advantage of smaller B&B's compared to major hotels is the personalized service you get. This certainly is the case at Villa Giuliana! The manager, Andrea, gives you advice on what to visit, where to eat... and all his recommendations where spot on!

The villa itself is beautiful, and surrounded by a wonderful garden full and a vineyard. The location is ideal for exploring all the cities and villages in the south of Puglia, and is near the coastline.

We had a nice and quiet airconditioned room, with a large comfortable bed. Outside, plenty of sunbeds were available for sunbathing.

We would recommend this place to everyone staying in the region of Lecce!

PS: there are 3 ducks walking around all day long in the garden and around the villa, they are hilarious! :-)
