Hosts were warm and friendly. As well as clean, spacious and an awesome breakfast it was the small details which made this b&b stand out. The bedding was so comfortable, sweats and shortbread with tea, coffee services and a different daily special on the breakfast menu with warm freshly baked butter milk rolls. Stayed 3 nights. It would be hard too beat the standards set in this accomodation.

Stayed four nights in September 2011. The Pottery house was the nicest B&B we stayed in on our trip. Everything was of the highest standard with thoughtful touches like the fresh milk in the room for tea, the fresh rolls every morning and use of a computer to confirm flights. We will definitely return on our next trip.

Stayed one night on the way home after my husband had completed the Lands End to John O'Groats cycle challenge. We were welcomed by John and shown to our large double room which was nicely decorated and wonderfully clean. Fresh milk and water were provided in the fridge so that you can make yourself a drink.
The views to the Loch were slightly hampered by the large tree , but Glen advised us that the views were better in the Autumn when the leaves have dropped.
The nearby Dores Inn is great for an evening meal, but best advised to book a table as it was busy midweek. The ducks in the beer garden are friendly.
An excellent bonus to this B&B is the breakfasts. There is a menu but John will cook whatever you would like but try the sultana pancakes with syrup - absolutely fabulous.
I would totally recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to explore the area.
