“A wonderful apartment, right on the beach in an idyllic location.”

Myself and two girlfriends stayed at el caleton, apt. no. 6 as we were looking for a beach holiday away from the crowds. It was ideal. The apartment is simply furnished, but lovely. We had all we needed (microwave, nice shower room, oven, fridge and freezer, tv, dvd player)
The best thing about the apartment is its location: a pretty garden with cacti, palms and cats (friendly strays) leads onto the beach. It is calm and good for paddling. around the oher side of the lagoon is a better place to swim.
Within ten minutes walk there is a beach bar which has really nice food, drink and staff, who can speak english if you need them to, and a restaurant called Azzurro which also has really nice staff and delicious canarian and italian food. We recommend the paella. DELICIOUS!
Within a 25 minute walk you are in the village of el cotillo, and there are some nice little streets with tasty restaurants. It can be a bit quiet there, but it was low season. Marealta has delicious tapas and has a lovely vibe, with it being half inside and half outside with cactus' and bushes growing inside it.

Room Tip: We stayed in no 6, and booked through owners

“Apt. Nr. 6 at El Caleton - perfect location right on the beach”

Our family had an absolute fantastic holiday in Apt. Nr. 6 at El Caleton - the best apartment in El Cotillo! It really is a most wonderfull location and we think the nicest one at El Caleton, only a few steps from the gold sands of the beach and with a view to the sea even from the terrace. Perfect for our kids and for us to see some sunshine before the Winter time. We cannot wait to go back. You can book the apartment with David or Ann at -- who are really helpfull and friendly.

For a total relaxation and fantastic beach this is the perfect location we travelled with two children of 6 and 12 and they had a fantastic time in the sun and loved the beach, there are several nice restaurants in the area some of which you can walk to but I would recommend you hire a car and get out and about. We will def be going back... Thank you Linda for a fab apartment.... You can email Linda to book this apartment on -- very helpful lady and great rates xx

“Perfect”

We have stayed at El Caleton most years (sometimes twice a year) for about 10 years. What a perfect escape, set immediately on a private beach in fantastic surroundings. As soon as we leave - we re-book!
The walk to the village is just enough to help the food down eaten in the great eateries - La Vaca Azul (Blue Cow) and La Rustica (owned and operated by the hardest working couple on the island - I sometimes want to help wash up).

On the down-side, it did rain for almost half an hour on one occasion in the last 10 years but then we do choose winter for our holidays.

“An unspoilt tranquil setting, wonderful.”

We have stayed here half a dozen times and enjoyed every single one. The apartments are basic, spacious and clean and have all you need to enjoy a holiday.

There is a great choice of restaurants in the local village, but the best is just at the end of the road a 5 minute walk called Azzurro, fantastic Steak to the best Paella i have tasted.

Walk out of the gates of the apartments and you are directly on the beach, sometimes you are the only people on the beach "fantastic".
The beach is great for Kite flying so don't forget to pack one of them.
If you enjoy a bit of fishing pack a telescopic rod or buy one locally, catch some shrimps in the rock pools with a net and sit on the rocks its like shelling peas my children love to join in.
If you want a holiday where you can let your children investigate the sea and shores without fear then this is the holiday for you.
Book now before everyone hears about it.
You can book direct with a lady called Linda who owns two apartments her email is
