La Herradura Beach, where Sol Los Fenicios is located, gives you a small town feel on an otherwise metropolitan coast. The hotel is beautiful with clean rooms and very friendly staff. It is also easy to get to (even without a map) and has plenty of street parking. Breakfast is also included - its well worth it too!

The beach is also pretty clean and not very crowded. It was also very family-friendly, which was fine with us. The entire beach is made of smooth stones, which can get fairly hot by the afternoon. I highly recommend renting an umbrella and chairs (5 Euros per chair for the whole day).

There are also several restaurants and bars on the main street with good prices and excellent food. There are very few shops, but there is a small grocery store nearby.

Overall, I would stay here again. The hotel was beautiful and provided a relaxing atmosphere.

Stayed in this hotel June 2006. The hotel is situated at the end of a quiet road facing the beach at La herradura. The resort was very quiet and ideal for a romantic break etc. The hotel has a small roof top pool ( 3 floors up only) and there is good views over the beach/sea. The breakfast was good and the staff pleasant & helpful.
The rooms are spaceous, clean and typical of a good hotel chain(Sol/Melia/Typ etc).
The resort, LA Herradura, is not your typical Costa's resort. Its reserved, and leans towards the home country holiday makers ( Not a Benidorm).
Note: the resort is not cheap and a pint of lager will cost approx 4 euros and a typical bar meal approx 7 euros
However, I paid £28 for a twin room for two persons including Breakfast on the Sol Melia web site.
I could not find fault with this hotel.
If taking children please be aware this is a very quiet resort.
