Attended a corporate conference here and felt that this hotel did not live up to its 5 star rating. Room was nice but public areas were a bit faded and in need of some attention. Conference dinner was poor, with the meal being dry and unappetising. Breakfast was good tho with a good selection.

The location and the restaurant is really why you stay here. The rooms are basic but quite large. Basic to none amenities and impossible to get the right temperature. Long corridors and different levels. Restaurant is nice and the food is really good. Staff is ok, but not very service minded.

Perhaps it's my fault to expect too much from 5 stars.
Location very nice - on a lake side, not far from Brussels.
Spacious rooms but furniture bit "tired". There was a problem with our room, staff seemed to be bit lost but finally problem was solved.
Spa - the reason we have chosen this hotel was spa- we thought it would be nice to have a weekend brake - but again disappointment - in reality pool is very small for 3 persons swimming, not more ;-( there was also 2 saunas and jacuzzi, but full all the time,
Dinner and breakfast really tasty, huge choice for breakfast.

I stayed here for a work conference in November 2011.

The first thing to note about this hotel is that it is in the Belgian countryside a long way outside of Brussels. Fine if you are looking for some R&R but I was using it as a base for Brussels and I had to take numerous taxis into Brussels costing 70-100 Euros a time and taking 40-60 minutes each way.

You also need to book taxis well in advance if you want to get into Brussels on time - I turned up at reception looking for a taxi on spec one morning and they were very surprised I had not booked in advance. On my final day I did book in advance but the local driver still turned up 20 minutes late and I ended up having to run to catch my train at the Eurostar terminal.

The hotel seems to have been built in the 1980s and there isn't anything attractive about the building itself. The room was fine and I slept well here. The conference facilities were good and the food was pretty decent throughout the conference.

Overall this hotel seems fine if you need to visit this part of Belgium. But as a base for doing business in Brussels it comes up short.
