Just back from a 2 night stay at this characterful hotel on a Groupon-style deal and couldn't praise the staff more highly for the warmth of the welcome. I have had a previous bad experience using a voucher elsewhere and being made to feel like a second class citizen, however this was not the case at the Kenmore. The welcome was friendly, the room clean and comfortable (although small and very sloping ceilings - Rm 16 - avoid if you are tall or claustrophobic!) and the many open fires well supplied with logs. The food in both the bar and diningroom was tasty and the chef went out of his way to prepare something special for me that was not on the menu. I'd very happily go back anytime. There isn't much to do in Kenmore if you are not a walker, but the scenery is beautiful and it is a totally restful break if ll you want to do is relax.
