“Photos do not do the bridal suite justice! Wonderful!”

My partner and I stayed here last weeked as a special surprise for my birthday. From the moment we entered the castle we were extremely impressed by the service and surroundings (a special thanks to Irene for giving us a tour round the castle!).

To my surpise we were booked into 'New Dawn' the white bridal suite, which was absolutely amazing!! From the Robbie Burns stairs scattered by white rose petals, to the four poster bed, tasteful chandeleirs, wonderful dining and living area equipped with leather seats, plasma tv screens, chaise longe etc..... and then downstairs to the georgous dressing area and huge bathroom, all inclusive of jacuzzi bath and tastefully decorated shower and washing area!!

We ate in the restaurant, which was also wonderful. Service good, food of an exceptionally high standard, and a reasonable amount of wines to choose from. Could not fault the food or service.

Finally, I feel the nightime porter definately deserves a mention. He hunted the castle and house for a specific nightcap for us... and found it! So thank you!

I have stayed in many hotels over the past twenty years, and travel frequently to London and overseas, and this quaint, quirky, tasteful castle tops them all - by a long shot! Eleven out of ten Glenskirlie, we will definatley be back.

Room Tip: New Dawn - the white bridal suite is a must if you want to treat yourself to sheer luxury!

This hotel and/ or Restaurant are definitely worth a visit. Rooms are all different and all are very beautiful and very comfortable. Staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful. Food and service is out of this world. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We went as a family and had a look in each others rooms. All were beautiful yet all different. Beds...

“Underated - Should be Mitchlin Starred.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

This is absolutely fantastic place up untill a few years ago this was old house just off the A80 which valued its business on lunch and dinners in the fine cuisine restaurant with a lovely cosy bar area which also offered first class food and wedding per day, its gone from strength to strength. The food in this place should be mitchlin starred without a doubt its in a league of its own right down to the detail on the petit fours..
Oct 2010 I had my wedding here attention to detail I received was second to none.

This place now runs 2 weddings at a time in seperate buildings organisation!!!.
A few years ago they built a 21st century castle with 15 rooms/suites with sunken spa baths, wet showers all mod cons and each rooms is individually tastefully decorated, truly scottish, they also have the castle restauant by night and by day another area for functions.

Out the back of the castle is a truly unique wrought swing in the shape of a heart.

All your dreams can come true in this place because they have the right people looking after you I found nothing was too much for the Glenskirle.

Well Done.

Room Tip: Treat yourself of any rooms especially the Suite decorated in White. ( one is white & one is bl...

“Absolutely stunning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Could not have had a nicer weekend in the Glenskirlie Castle Hotel and Restaurant. So much detail and thought has gone in to making your stay special and it certainly pays off. The staff were fantastic - so friendly, accommodating and obliging. The rooms were stunning and the meal in the restaurant was one of the best I've ever tasted. This comes highly recommended and I know myself and my family will certainly be visiting here again.

“First Class”

Just spent a weekend in the hotel with my family to send off my brother as he prepares to emigrate to Australia. From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome by the exceptionally friendly staff. After checking in to our glorious room we returned downstairs to the reception for tea and coffee which staff brought to us in one of the lovely seating areas. Later on we went across to the restaurant where we all enjoyed a first class, 5 course meal......certainly the best meal I have ever had! Each course was an absolute delight and the serving staff were fantastic and could not have been more attentive. On returning to our room, we found 2 bottles of cold still and sparkling water, and a bed turndown with a small gift bag of Molton Brown goodies to take home. A lovely touch.
The bedroom was exceptionally nice and the bed was unbelievably comfortable.
Breakfast was very nice the next morning and the staff re arranged the seating to allow us all to sit together.
Before leaving, the housekeeper let us see one of the luxurious suites..........an absolute must see if you get the chance- absolutely stunning! I cannot recommend this hotel and restaurant enough and would like to thank Colin and all the staff for a truly fantastic stay.

Room Tip: Some rooms are luxury shower only and no bath so you may want to ask first. Some decor is dark and l...
