“Location amazing”

Just returned from a 3 day break with my husband and we had to write and praise this little gem of a hotel. Amazing location, but you must book for sea views or you will be disappointed. Lovely, friendly staff. Basic but very clean room, we booked bed and breakfast, which was also good. Choice of breakfast was small, but what more can you eat than cereal, fruit, eggs bacon .. We be booking again for next year ..

“A great little hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

The Capri Hotel is situated right on the beachfront promenade. There is no road in front of the hotel just a lovely outlook over Pollensa Bay and of the world going by. The hotel is fairly small - just 30 or so rooms - and informal and friendly. The room was well decorated, comfortable and the bathroom looked to be only recently fitted with a decent shower. Everything was clean. Breakfast was buffet style - nothing like the range you get in large hotels - but perfectly fine juice, cereals, breads, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bacon etc. There was no additional charge for using the air-con or safety deposit box. One of the main pluses of this hotel is its location. Right on the beach, a short level walk along the promenade to the bus stop and in the thick of restaurants and shops for entertainment. I thought it was great and really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely go back.

“Great little sea front hotel, fabulous location, friendly staff.”

We booked 2 seaview, air conditioned rooms at this little hotel and they were great. The location is brilliant, walking distance to all the restaurants, beaches, market, water sports and port. It is a 3 star hotel, as reflected in the price, but rooms were clean, staff friendly and new manager very helpful. Definitely on its way up, as manager is keen to refurb and improve standard.
Lovely cocktail terrace right out by the water. Not too impressed with a dinner we had at the hotel, altho good coffee with breakfast! drinks good value and plenty of good restaurants all around.
Water sports further along the beach were well run - water ski/ing, wind surfing and doughnuts!
Easy to catch bus to other beaches or towns, hire bikes to explore, or boats to nearby beaches or hike up the mountains behind. Oh yes! if you're sporty there's definitely a big morning run scene going on along the pedesatrian walkway infront of hotel, which was a good way to start the day!
First time in Puerto Pollensa - very pretty, relatively undeveloped and very friendly.
I'd definitely recommend this hotel to people who are happy in regular 3 star accomodation and wish Sasha and his family the best of luck in making a success of it!

“location,location,location.... and service with a smile!(but book balcony with sea view)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2010

First of all i have been going to Puerto Pollensa for 30 years, staying usually at selected apartments with family. This year my family couldnt go ,so me and my fiance, and our friends, another couple stayed at the Capri.I have been blessed with a frontline view for over 15 years,so i knew when booking this is a must, for us, in Puerto Pollensa.
Please try to ignore some older reviews as the Capri is under new management. What the Capri gives you is a perfect central location and,if staying on front rooms,a stunning panaramic view. There are couple of dozen rooms, but only six frontal rooms with balcony, and by paying a little more, staying in these frontline rooms is a MUST.We asked for the highest height sea view rooms poss by email, and they did confirm they had done this.
Ours were 401and 402 and in my opinion the best rooms in hotel for their stunning views.Dont get me wrong, the rooms are quite basic, but are kept very clean.(manager said poss winter revamp on cards). Bathroom was fine and decent shower.Flat screen tv, but hardly used it.Room had safe with key given at reception. The balcony had enough room to sit and relax with some music and a glass of wine. The newly installed air con was both effective and very quiet.
The breakfast was bacon ,eggs, croissant, cereal etc and was more than fine.Coffee was excellent and freshly made which i found a great start to the day.Even when i was late Sasha( manager ) offered to bring me a croissant etc and extra coffee.Ithought his easy going style seamed to work with his staff.
The hotel boasts one of the best terraces in the area as you sit water side, with lovely white parasols and matching furniture. In fact the interiors match this as they are kept white and simple.A large flat screen tv is on in bar area for those who like a sporting event.
Most importantly the staff where excellent..Manager Sasha very helpful.waiters and waitresses young, friendly and chatty. From Spain,Argentina,Romania ,amonst others. All very helpful.Food on terrace was limited to pizza and pasta, but was well priced, fresh and tasty.Cocktails also were on offer .Pizza/pasta and any drink was under 10 euro and was a bargain sitting next to the water.
The small area of beach is a few steps from the front door, but if you want a larger beach area ,we are talking 50 - 100 metres to the left. The only negative is unlike the Sis Pins next door the Capri does not have a private sunbathing terrace with sun beds.I would suggest that maybe the small beach area in between the terrace area could be developed in the future?

Bars i would recommend are Batacuda(good quality music),Nostalgia,(karioke and chat),The illador's sea terrace bar,and maybe the irish bars if you like that kind of thing.General square area is good atmosphere.
Restaurants, Capri terrace,Laguna(behind illador),Zarzoles(hidden gem,meat /paella ),la Parra(trad spanish) , Stay ,Illador front terrace, la Bahia(paella).
Trips to Formentor(boat) and afternoon in Pollensa old town are recommended.Scuba Mallorca are very good for diving.ENJOY

“You get what you pay for.........and well worth it!”

Hotel in fantastic location with a view to die for. Even if you don't get one wiht a sea view the firsrt floor terrace, breakfast terrace and beach terrace make this a fantastic place to stay.

We had 2 very small single rooms at the back, not great and the shower did not have hot water all the time and was a battle to get in but for the money I think you take this on the chin. Half the price of a box branded UK hotel but location location location.

In the middle of town and right on the beach, quiet and practical, others have complained but £30 a night is a steal for off season sunshine and close to top cycling routes.

Staff were all great and helpful and sorted every request we put before them.

I think a slight refurb is on the cards and with some investment this could be a little spot we return to again and again.
