I stayed here in June this year planned to stay in a 2 bed apartment belonging to same company which we new was behind the sea fronting hotel but was looking forward to staying at this end of the Pine Walk for a bit of tranquility. When we got there we were told bad news....double booked our apartment - imagine our delight when they went on to say they would upgrade us to half board with sea view rooms for their error!! We had a lovely stay the hotel is really elegant and has a bar and restaurant outside built on jettys overlooking the sea. Just a little path inbetween the hotel and public bar & restaurant areas. Breakfast out here every day was divine. We werent allowed to use the outside restaurant for dinner (despite having half board) as this was reserved at night for public bookings (this place being at the end of the sedate Pine Walk and a bit of a Mecca for visitors not staying at the hotel). This left us with the restaurant inside and the food was ok but disappointing for me. The breakfasts were amazing but dinner was mediocre. 2 teenage girls had no complaints but I didnt enjoy the food much. We ate out a few times to mix it up. Whilst I shouldnt complain (it was free upgrade!) had I been paying for half board I would not have been happy with food - not much better than all inclusive quality food (once only and never again!). Whilst value is important I think good food is too. Bedrooms for a 4 star slightly small but very nice boutique style bathrooms etc and all in all a great place to stay. We had a hire car so could easily get out and about and visited the wonderful artisan market at Pollensa town, Cap Fermentor (the lighthouse - watch out for those really really windy roads but great views on the way), Tramuntana Mountains and to Soller and a night in Old Alcudia - all drivable and do-able from PP. There is also a monastery (Lluc Monastry) near by in the mountains which is well worth a visit for the views. So if you dont like the built up holiday areas (like mini Benidorm in some places and really not what Majorca is all about) I would highly recommend this hotel and its location at the end of town with a pleasant 15 min walk past lots of nice restaurants and bars on the way into where the main 'action' of Puerto Pollensa is.
