“A hidden gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2010

We had 10 magical days at the Rancho with our 2 young daughters - a crawler and a walker - plus mother-in-law and nephew. The accommodation is extremely flexible and suits different size groups extremely well. During our stay in the main house (where 2 of the bedrooms have the benefit of air-conditioning which was great for the children), there were other small groups staying either on a bed & breakfast basis or self-catering in the other units on the property. The pool is shared by everyone but this makes for a convivial atmosphere and our children enjoyed the attention of the other guests! The properties are dotted around in a beautiful acre or so of exquisite gardens with little hide-aways and wonderful vistas around every corner. Each day we discovered something quirky, interesting and eye-catching on the property. The Rancho is so easy to find and a quick drive from Malaga airport. We ate out in the local town which offered great tapas and truly spectacular ice cream parlours. But what really made our holiday so special was the boundless charm, enthusiasm and friendliness of David, Miyuki, Cameron and Millie all of whom in different and various ways made our stay even more enjoyable. In particular, if David and Miyuki's daughter, Millie, happens to be around, she is a very talented chef and provided a catered evening meal on 3 occasions - bliss! There is no doubt at all that we shall be returning. And as soon as possible!

“Rancho del Ingles - A realy nice place to stay with teens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2010

We were 19 adults and children (age from 10-17 years) who spent 2 weeks in july 2010 at Rancho del ingles. The place can definitely recommend to others traveling together in large groups. The house is close to the beach and close to Malaga so there were plenty of opportunities for our teens to shop and go out and dance. They all enjoyed the stay very mutch. There s also plenty of attractions that are in close driving distance.
The house itself is really nice and you feel very welcome. Not least because of Miyuki, David and their family who owns Rancho del Ingles, which is always helpful with all the things you might need during their stay. One could, however, like to see that there was air conditioning in every room as there are very hot, even at night. But plenty of spaces, bathrooms and an nice surroundings.
I would definitely recommend Rancho del Ingles to others.

“What a relaxing place to spend some quiet time in the sun.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

Rancho del Ingles is a perfect place to spend some quiet time in the sun. My daughter, who was to be starting a new job, and I, going back to my 20th year as a nursery school teacher, wanted a last minute few days of peace and sun. We found the perfect place for us - the buildings are charming with many interesting fittings and fixtures and I really felt we were in a different time. Our rooms were beautifully simple and comfortable with unique furniture. We had breakfast with figs we picked, under a scented jasmine canopy looking at the hills. There are green lawns, gazebos and other areas to sit and read or daydream. Miyuki and David were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive - they were available and considerate. Rancho del Ingles is well placed in a rural setting, close to a nice town retaining its Spanish feel and within easy reach of the Malaga attractions and airport. I would recommend it highly. The website and instructions are clear and helpful

“Luxurious peace and tranquillity- we stayed twice as long as we had originally planned to!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 May 2010

A last minute decision to get away despite the ash clouds, strikes, and funny weather, we needed a place to stay and somewhere to recover for a couple of days before travelling across most of southern Spain. We planned to stay 2 nights, stayed 4 and would have stayed longer but the accommodation was fully booked.

I emailed a few days before departure, and Miyuki was really prompt at responding, and full in her responses. Reccommendations for food locally, maps to find supermarkets - the owners have been living and coming to the area for many years so they know it well.
We had the place to ourselves, and the lovely room with the four poster bed. Bliss! Everyone talks about the bed, but the bathroom is just as spectacular. We had breakfast - great - and they even managed to cater for a veggie, gluten-free diet. David and Miyuki don't live on site, but are minutes away if needed.

The place, as everyone on the site says, is amazing. So, so peaceful - you'd never guess you were minutes from malaga. Loads of quirky bits and pieces in hidden corners - and the sense that the place has developed organically with the owners. As they've found something fun, they've incorporated it into a buidling, or bedroom or bathroom. Might make you think that the place is crowded - it isn't. A real sense of space and peace, and being slightly higher up with a lovely view of the hills, means that a gentle breeze keeps you cool. Lovely gardens and a raised swimmingpool.

We dragged ourselves sightseeing one day up to Ronda. A lovely day out but to be honest, we'd have been much happier just relaxing in the garden! It was a brilliant start to our holiday and an amazing place which was really unexpected in that part of concrete Spain.

“We love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2010

We have stayed twice in consecutive years and immediately relax the moment we drive through the gates. You feel miles from anywhere, but everything you need is on the doorstep, just outside of the grounds. The hosts get it just right: in easy contact and very responsive when you need them, but off site when you don't. The website doesn't do justice to the results of years of collecting antiques from all around the world which makes every room of design interest. Lots of room for children to run around and explore and whilst the pool is not fenced, it is raised and so very little ones should be safe. Beautiful gardens. Lovely terraces. 20 easy minutes to the airport but not under the flight path. Have no hesitations in recommending this place! All in all: fab!
