We were making the long drive from Seville to Toledo (with a lengthy sightseeing stop in Cordoba) and wanted somewhere to overnight that was close to Toledo but where we would not have to drive inside Toldeo and try to find our hotel at night. We had reservations inside Toledo for the next night. I found this hotel on Booking.com for 65 euros per night - including breakfast, free wifi and parking.
Before leaving on our Spain trip, I had sent emails to all of our booked hotels requesting reconfirmation of our reservations. I got back emails from all the hotels except for this one. We had no problems finding the hotel using our GPS. However, when we pulled up, we were afraid that the hotel had been closed, as everything was dark from the outside and there were no cars in the very large parking lot. However, they were open.
Our rooms were very nicely decorated and furnished, very spacious, with great bathrooms (having a separate shower!) There was a wonderful sunset view over the lake and golf course. It had been a nice day, even though it was February, and there were stil a few golfers finishing up on the course. The rest of hotel was quite modern and very "vacant". We did not eat dinner at the hotel. We had a wonderful dinner at a local restaurant recommended by the hotel staff, Casa Bonita, which was less than a 3 minute drive. As in every other hotel we stayed at in Southern Spain during this time (except for the Westin Palace in Mardid) the air conditioning had been turned off for the season, so the room did get a bit stuffy and warm. But we could open the windows and get a cool breeze without any traffic or outside noise. We were out in the coutryside. In the morning, when they asked our room number at breakfast, I saw that there were only about 12-15 guests listed for the night (off season at a golf/spa resort !) I don't know how this hotel would be during the peak season or when large tour groups are present (as mentioned in other reviews), but if you want someplace to stay near Toledo, but not in the city itself, this is a great find for offseason!
