enjoyable weekend break. strolling around in dressing grown felt like a movie star. i'm a sucker for a spa and this one was alright. sauna and turkish bath were good, kept at a hot temperature. also had seperarate mens and womens relaxing area, i peeked in and it seemed to be those theremal beds in the dark - ideal for a snooze.
the outside pool was good, very clean.
buffet breakfast thumbs up as they had one of those fresh orange juice machines.
room was great, we had a 2 balconies with two views of the sea. good room, comfy beds, nice shamposs etc.
tiny beach cove just over the road, well down many steps as the hotel is up on the hill, also a pathway to walk along the coast.
would i go back? probably not, but thats not to say i didn't enjoy the hotel.

“Fine but not exceptional”

The hotel is located on a hill an easy ten minute walk from the town centre. Rooms are nicely appointed and clean. I did not sample the spa facilities but some in our group did. Rather strangely, the towelling slippers usually provided free of charge by spa hotels (and, indeed, by many four star hotels) were absent and one was obliged to buy flip flops from the hotel shop, although this was rarely open and one was made to feel as if one was being done a favour by opening the shop. Breakfast was ok but the scrambled eggs had visibly suffered from being under a hot light. The hotel has a pleasant garden with outdoor seating and beautiful Mediterranean pines to provide shade. Probably as a good a place an any to stay in San Feliu.

i don't really know what to say about this place....but if you like richard clayderman you'll probably think it's heaven.

I booked this hotel after checking expedia, tripadvisor and the hotel's own web site and nowhere on any of those did it say that this
is some kind of strange retro 1970's health spa for old spaniards. Saying that, i did have a great time.

It took us until the end of the night on the first day to realise that the bar was actually called a "bar dietetics" and only really sold water, fruit juice and seeds. The hotel guests all walked round in their bath robes and in reception there was a board outlining the day's pilates and aerobics programs. The pool was very quiet and to get any drinks you had to go to the dietetics bar and ask for a beer which was duly served to you with a frown.

Facility wise though, the pool was great, had the sun all day and was
very peaceful whilst listening to clayderman over the outdoor speaker
system.

In closing, stay here if you want to be in a quiet part of the costa brava, the town is great although lacking in great food and the hotel
is a blast, in a wierd "old skool" kind of way.

  • Liked — the music payed all roung the hotel
  • Disliked — a bit basic.

“Fine hotel.”

Arrived late - my booking had not been forwarded, the last thing one wants to hear after a tiring day - the receptionist was very calm and helpful and a room and car-parking was immediately offered without a fuss. The furnishings and the bathroom were top class. I was only there for one night, but inside and out, everything I could see during the morning was extremely pleasant. I should have been happy to stay two weeks! The breakfast room was a delight. The small garden will be tranqil and shaded in the summer. The location above the little harbour and town of Sant Feliu de Quixols was very convenient with nice views. This hotel was a total success for the purpose of my visit. The price was the keen price I saw on the internet. No argument.
