This is an old house, beautifully and thoughtfully converted into b&b accommodation. Rooms are centred around a small courtyard and furnished with antiques and unusual pieces. There is an honesty bar and breakfasts are made in front of you by the welcoming and friendly staff. The hospitality could not be better.
The property's age does make it subject to a couple of quirks - the room we stayed in was subject to both sound and light pollution although the latter could easily be fixed by a blackout screen on the window. The noise from other guests leaving the hotel early was audible through the thin walls. But this was a small price to pay for the unique accommodation. In all, the hotel offers a charming alternative to the anonymous chain hotels elsewhere in the city. A lovely experience.
